I'm about to give my trunk a Lethal Injection 😂 I ordered a brand new Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12" DVC 2 ohm, 1000w RMS sub to replace my two blown 12" Infinty Reference Subs and am anxiously waiting its arrival 🤑 Next comes " the big 3 " electrical upgrade, a new box, and a new 12-1400 watt amp. Will wire into parallel down to 1 ohm and be ready!

Oh you kids and your loudness and SPLs past the safe zone, and your partial deafness and possible permanent hearing damage.

Will wire into parallel down to 1 ohm and be ready! Why a 2ohm driver? Your going to be drawing current that no car or car amp can deliver? Big 3, may eventually install a HO alt or separate battery. Car has 110a alt. So yes you are correct, without certain upgrades, the amp or sub would never see the 1000w +! I am wiring down to 1 ohm in parallel... Trunk is 15.6 cubes. 1 12" sub 2.5-3 cubic ft , tuned 30-33Hz to hit the lowest lows when the actual sub starts falling off. Basically to bring the 30-34hz range even with the 40-60hz. Again this is for my SQ reference for mixing! I do like to pound every now and then too though The big 3 has to be installed. Without the big 3, I was 14.2 V at the 600w RMS amp. So with the big 3 installed and about a 1600w rms amp, I can gain maybe half way up and not push the amp or subs anywhere near max. LF are less damaging the HF for the ears at high volumes from my research. I have had big systems in all my vehicles and still can hear over 17,300Hz on that hearing app thing we all used in a thread here awhile ago

I spent way too much this year. It'll have to stop! Having said that, I recently bought a TUL Microphone for guitar amps, the one that Kevin Shirley uses on the likes of Bonamassa. Yesterday, I got a Marshall 1987S, Marshall's first 'Plexi' reissue from 1988. I know, I know, it's not what people consider a 'real' Plexi since it has the aluminum front panel, but it's an awesome machine, incredibly loud.

I've just been playing the UVI synth and drums machine stuff all day, lots of fun, very much retro sounding. Also throwing the Apex 205 ribbon on bass and funky guitar amp. Gotta say this new batch of gear is suhweet. I think that's the first time I've used a ribbon mic on a bass cabinet, I'll be doing it again. Nothing like a fresh batch to get the inspiration going!

I got my early Christmas present yesterday by getting a new Apogee Symphony MKII thunderbolt 16x16. I didn't need it since I just got the Apollo 16 BF from Sweetwater back in March, but since when does true need really have anything to do with it. I guess someone will just end up getting a deal on a like new Apollo 16 BF. I'm not leaving the UAD family though, since I have an Apollo 8P that I will still be using for live and mobile applications.

Just grabbed a CAPI BT50 and a CAPI VP312 from Jeff. I'm aspiring to Ocean Way's rack of 40 API 550A's in studio 'B'

My stam 4000 just showed up; it seems very well and cleanly built ,as others have said, nice solid thunk to switches and heft to the unit.

Been going absolutely nuts with these mic mods. Got two pair now, slightly different. Done with SDCs, tomorrow I start with the Apex 205 ribbon mics, which I am very excited about. If you want the gory details on these SDCs you can check my DIY blog in my signature.
