Snagged a Hairball Rev D for less than the cost of an unbuilt kit. And ordered about 600 capacitors to recap my ADR Scamp Rack modules.

Picked up a J. Rockett Archer Ikon to add to the pedalboard. Really great to push my Fender amps and the dr. Z on its own, and in front of a Barber Direct Drive or a Keeley-Modded TS9, it's tonal nirvana. Heck, even my hum bucker equipped Tele into my Tremolux now sounds great with just the Ikon on...

Is that the “gold” or the “silver” Archer? I have the silver and it pretty much stays on all the time. I love J. Rockett pedals.

Love their pedals. The 2 Keeley Fuzz pedals and the compressor are in front of it, but I'm finding I rarely use the SP compressor, and the Electric Mudd (Keeley's inspired take on a Super Fuzz) is a very particular sound. But with the Mobius on a filter setting and that fuzz, it's the U2 "Elevation" sound. Not that we play any U2...

The Animal is sorta Marshall JMP and the Dude is a Dumble style that sounds amazing when used with a ES 355 into a Princeton Reverb. Steely Dan for days.

Nice! The Barber Direct Drive is my Marshally sound and have had it for 21 years - great pedal. Love these into my Princeton Reverb (1980, Deluxe OT, Kendrick Black Frame), my Tremolux, or the Dr. Z MAZ 18.

Just barfed out money on a new 13.3” MacBook Pro for a tour next month that was finally confirmed. Hoping the M1 computers are solid with Pro Tools.
Anyone one have suggestions for a Thunderbolt dock? Is OWC the way to go?

Anyone one have suggestions for a Thunderbolt dock? Is OWC the way to go? I would call the OWC the "least objectionable". I own two, and the optical outs are a little fussy and require jiggling now and then. Not a tight fit. The CalDigit TS3 is also pretty good.

The silver Sharpie is wearing off on mine, but still sounds great. David Barber said that tonally the newer ones are slightly different. I tried things like the Friedman BE OD and other pedals, but similarly I keep coming back to this one.

Small and portable is good, but flimsy wires that might get disconnected are not! Using it to multitrack concerts from front of house

The only thing sucky is the optical, which you are unlikely to be using in that situation. The rest of it is as solid as a dock can be, to the extent that any dock can be "solid". The bigger issue is that USB-C / Thunderbolt of any stripe is not exactly as reliable as a BNC connector. I wish ALL computer connections were bayonet mounts. Then there was the annoying 50-pin or 25-pin SCSI, but what a solid connector in comparison.

I just received two microphones from Dr Alien Smith in Perth. Both are likely to be used on kick, but other options will likely arise.
Alien8 dynamic figure 8 with dual headphone drivers.
Sub Kick 01 - Alan says the company he sourced his drivers from for this have stopped making them. I apparently have the last one. Hopefully he can find a good replacement and create a MkII.
