Hahaha! It's a lapping machine for polishing capsule backplates to within 2 microns of absolute flatness. After using my old struers on about 2500 capsules it finaly bit the dust

Drums..lots of drums. Some to sell but a few to likely keep ('67 Acrolite, early 60's Champagne Sparkle Jazz Festival, 70's 6.5" Supraphonic)
Also, a Josephson e22s. Excited to finally try one.

I finally got a mic stand I can trust. ...but even then it's kind of cheap. The bottom of the legs where the caster screws in isn't welded on straight so it sits wonky. I'm not planning to wheel it around a ton so it shouldn't be a real problem. Attachments:

Custom built Klontz Sum Difference and 2 parallel blenders in one unit. Super handy combo for the outboard gear.

I was able to use a 15% off discount code on Front End Audio so I couldn't help myself and just received this Smart C1 LA that I will be running in the insert in my 2Bus Plus.

There was a split in the company, and one entity is getting rid of stock. As far as I know, the second half hasn't produced the updated models yet cheers Wiz

Explains why I hadn't heard anything about it. Let us know what you think. I found that to be a really solid mic.

You Sir have a drum fetish! :-) It's a bit of an obsession but hey, it helps pay for expensive studio stuff. Hoping to turn that around and get a Upton 251 or a Flea 47...or a TG1 or real close to a Zener Limiter. Then do it all over again 100 times and slowly tick off the boxes of gear I want for the studio

Then do it all over again 100 times and slowly tick off the boxes of gear I want for the studio So, are you restoring the kits then selling them on for a little profit? Or are you just flipping them? I usually have to do some restoration, track down some parts, do some cleaning, occasionally a small repair. Sometimes it's a simple flip that just requires cleaning them up and making them look nice. I've also had good luck trading with studios and musicians. That doesn't mean I don't keep some things for myself though I have a Slingerland set at home, and a Ludwig kit at the studio, and about 10 snares. I've also been into flipping and trading gear...my dad used to restore vintage cars (now mostly motorcycles) so I spent a lot of time doing that with him as a kid and it rubbed off on me.

Proper box for my KM140's, pair of Rycote INV-3 shockmounts, pair of mic stand elbows to get that final angle adjustment made with awkward mic arrays.
