I've had to expand some gear on the video/film side recently. Kind of a bummer to have to spend $ there, but that side of audio life actually still has income associated with it. Picked up another RØDE WirelessGo (man, these things are deceptively good and useful), several brackets and adapters, a RØDE VideoMicNTG (not the greatest sounding thing in the world, but one of the best on-camera mics I've heard, and crazy clever and useful design), and a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro HDMI switcher/recorder. All of this, combined with my EOS-R and video lighting, has allowed me to take my livestreaming with clients up to a ridiculously high level. I'm really pleased. That Blackmagic box is sweet! I have been diving into for a high school install! I am such a fan of everything BMD I have seen ( god I love the Pocet Cine Cam). The folks at AVID should be all kneeling in prayer that they don’t relaunch Fairlight to take on PT, because if they do I’m betting PT looses.

Your going to need more 500 slots! I don't know what that is, but I already want it haha I just ordered my second rack to go with my PSU. It'll power 3 units so I'll have around 43 slots here soon. But probably get more! haha

It's true: Blackmagic really is hitting it out of the park right now. Like, wow. Crazy innovative stuff. I have a feeling they have several more tricks up their sleeves, too. The newest ATEM Mini product (the Mini Pro ISO - which came out like 2 weeks after I bought my Mini Pro from Full Compass, btw) is just one of the cleverest product ideas I've seen in the video market, period. End of discussion. And yes, if they really commit to Fairlight, it will be an amazing thing to behold. The Resolve system has so much potential to just smoke Premiere Pro and FCPX. It would take a long time to eat into AVID. The situation is really annoying with Final Cut, b/c I wish Apple could find a way to truly bridge FCPX and Logic. Having a full-featured composition tool and solid audio editor as part of an NLE just makes so much sense. The A/V market as a whole is just undergoing an explosion right now.

Besides nice taste in dealers BTW. I think if they delivered an almost Complete DAW for free DaVinci and great hardware they could do it.

I put my money where my mouth is and bought U-he Presswek. I finally figured it out and the sound is definitely my favorite in a digital compressor. I never stuck it on 2 bus and the SSL 4000 preset doesn't really sound like an SSL comp but it killed DMG Trackcomp 2 SSL and The Glue for hair and mojo. God damn.

So, I got my first dip into the 500 module world with the API 8 module lunchbox. I forgot to order the rack ears! DOH! SO they're on order now, along with an AEA RPQ500. audioscape 500 series stuff in the works.

Haven't used a dock, but one of my post friends keeps trying to get me to get one. He uses an S3 and Dock and I use an S6 at work and he says it's just like the master module in the S6. I have S1, I've had to replace it twice now...due to weird stuff with the hardware being an issue.

I know this is not gear AT ALL but I got the Spotify subscription. Went to the dark side. Covid made me do it. First few hours of outdoor record playing has been wonderful. It sounds like a mediocre cassette tape but, oh well, I can always go home to the Focals for the premium stuff.
I have a Celestion Classic Lead 80 coming before the end of the week. Got three speakers out of four for a 4x12.

Received the Silver Bullet and Successor a week ago. Have been playing around with their placement in the master chain. Currently the Successor, Obsidian and DEQ-1 are inserted in the SB. Magnificent gear. It’ll take a while to find the sweet spot, though. So many colour options.

I hope I have better luck with mine long as it is a newer one and hasn't been sitting on a shelf since the first batch you'll be good. Mine was faders not writing automation after like 40 seconds. Then my replacement had a knob that would act like it's being pushed randomly.

Tokyo Dawn Nova GE. The Tokyo Dawn plugs are so good they’re practically cheating.

Have an obscure Pearl (PML) FET SDC on the way, overall much like the Altec ‘lipstick’ mics, captive unbalanced cable to PSU with transformer in the PSU. Who knows, curiosity got me. Supposedly a nickel capsule.

Pearl (PML) is Swedish, known now for their rectangular capsule mics.
