I just bought a 2 x 12 open back Avatar cabinet with Alnico Blues. Am considering selling my Bricasti/Peluso P12 and Elysia nVleope and buying an SSL Sigma. If I didn't have a console, I would buy a Nucleus with two Sigmas.

They're only good 3-5 years before the plastic frame jacks fatigue and get unreliable. They do weird slight level difference shifts too from degrading contact resistance, that you might not notice. I'm onto a 3rd set. Doesn't matter what brand, they're all short-life products IMO.

Yes they are and why I avoid them like the plague !

Put together a new strat. Ran into a Fender Roadworn Alder body for reasonable, added a Warmoth neck, Callaham V/N bridge and a set of Dimarzio Areas in it, 61/61 and Virtual Solo in the bridge.
Yeah, I like white/rosewood strats.
Also picked up another Miktek C7 so I have a pair.
Just got a set of the new Westone AM Pro 30 Ambient IEM's. Haven't used them live yet but so far they seem very nice and the ambient feature doesn't kill the tone.

My strat looked just like that about 8 years ago, good choice. Rosewood/Maple is a hell of a decision with a fender. There is no inspiration like a fresh guitar, though.

I do want to send in the CV4. It looks like we are going to be moving south in the next 3 to 6 months though so not until I am past that.

Audient updated their Faderlink plug-in today to 64-bit AAX/AU, will be testing it with my ASP2802 Dual Layer Control console and PT12/LPX this weekend. Hopefully I can ditch the MIDI tracks in PT sessions, but I like the way Logic handles the analog automation with 8 dummy tracks using a second HUI profile.

I really want Xfer Serum for the $10 a month payment plan, but I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger. Killer wavetable synthesizer though, one of the best I've heard.

It's a pain no doubt but we are both excited for a change. We're looking to relocate to SW Florida, about 1300 miles south of NW Indiana where we are currently.
The worst part is finding a place and moving my room, I've got a pretty nice room where I am and it sounds nice. I could easily sell everything else and just take my gear, clothes, and the dogs...

Newest additions this week are in the delay department.
I got a second Line6 Echo Pro - LOOOOOVE that unit - especially the EH Deluxe Memory Man presets. Analog emulations, but almost better than the real deal. I might get a third cause I use em so much. Bye, bye Echoboy.
And also a Yamaha E1010 Analog Delay. I kick myself for selling my old one years ago. I'll probably get another for stereo. Analog Delays ROCK!

I always want to like Echoboy more than I actually do. I swear swear SWEAR that plugin developers have A Sound. Waves plugins have a tonality, Slate has a tonality, Soundtoys has a tonality....hard to describe but when I think of "Soundtoys" or "Waves" or whatever, I immediately hear this consistent tone family in my head. So the Echo Pro is good?

I resisted moving up from PT9 to 12 for several years because Line6 didn't port the TDM Echo Farm plugin (essentially an Echo Pro in software only) to AAX. That's how much I liked and needed it. Mostly I love it because of the EH deluxe memory man preset - that's where I am 95% of the time. The rest of it is good, but the memory man is special. I had Echoboy on it's memory man preset, pulled it down and put on the EchoPro and bam! There it was. Width, depth, dimension, vibe, melting goodness. What I've been missing for 2 years. Got it back with....hardware. Go figure Hardware emulating software. I immediately went out and bought another. I hope I don't regret saying this publicly. I think I want a 3rd. Shhhhhhhh.....

Right, but I'm talking about emulations of widely disparate gear. I feel like they use the same 'harmonic goo' code for many plugs or something.
