This, coming from the people who brought us Wham, "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" and One Direction. Well I can't excuse the last 2, but if you guys couldn't figure out Cameo was gay how the hell were we supposed to know what was up with Wham? This was a huge success for Miley's career, probably, but it's also a milestone. The next few years are going to define how her life story is told and regardless of how much money she makes, how that story turns out may make her life extremely difficult to live. To say it's the US exclusively is still pretty bad. I mean English TV culture is just cringey and the education system is eating itself. While I'm not proud of Jedward, we weren't exactly proud of U2 - but nobody complained. All this stuff exists everywhere, with variation. Japanese TV has constant Picture-in-Picture of nattering idiots telling you how to feel about a car bombing in Baghdad. Europe has the same home video and reality shows we do, but sometimes with an extremely aggressive twist (I was in Austria once and saw a Home Video blooper show which included a baby falling off of a kitchen counter and a car falling off a 30 foot ledge with a newly married couple inside it). They do all the same crap - they think that's how you make professional productions. Also in terms of epic toilet culture you forgot the Eurovision:
And nyext, bestings new singings from Bosnia Herzgovinas most sexiest sing sing lady - Lad-ee Vrukbaaaa.
*italo dance* "I vant da sex-ee sex vid ooh I vant de loove dat is yur tooch I vant a three thousan' tonne intercontinental bailistic meesle seastem vid early detection cy-abilities nd I vant tew invoice it to Europe as Motoryway side toliet amenitieeees"

Well, she finally spoke about it.
It was her history making "Madonna/Britney" moment. She felt compelled to join the club and they both knew what was happening and the consequences.
Hilarious that people can make a conscious decision to trash their name for publicity and feel good about it.
...barf bag pls?

What's sad is she did a very bad job. Taylor Swift turns me on just by freakin singing!

it's quite often that people with marginal talent resort to theatrics, jimmy page can use his guitar to make you feel the way the guys from slipknot look lol! I'd venture to guess, that without the crutch of theatrics propping up these frauds, popular music would sound very different, and MUCH better?

Page was great in the studio, he was very sloppy live for one reason or another.

She hasn't been Hannah Montana in three years, the performance was no worse than anything that's been on the VMA's in recent years and it's a smart career move. Even if I don't like it, that doesn't mean it's awful. This is from the same people who gave us Jersey Shore and Teen Mom so I certainly don't hold MTV to a high standard in quality, family friendly programming. When we talk about Miley, Amdanda and Lindsay they win, not us.

She turned off a lot of people and they will not be taking her seriously from this point forward. So I don't think it was a smart career move musically..
