BTW - Tony did an incredible job with the build...add Tony to the list of people that can get this thing rocking for you (for a price, of course!)

Now you discover what we knew all along. The MKU47 is the perfect mic for you JK. Remember how scared you were to pull the trigger?
Great job on the build TC. I imagine that badge makes it sound even better. Where the heck did you find it BTW? Now let's get a sinsay capsule in one of these things and make microphone history.

Now let's get a sinsay capsule in one of these things and make microphone history. the secret sauce is the badge(ebay) and black pcb as well 8) No doubt! next on the docket is a Max Kircher MK-U47 Shannon Rhoades TCat edition 8) This bad boy will be the trifecta of build/tweak/tune o ramatron by sinsay, cat5 and myself, we are on a combined mission to build one of the greatest sounding U47 type microphones ever! With the talents/ears of the Shan's, I believe this to be achievable, once the desired sound is acquired, we should be able to repeat the build with exacting tolerances within the chosen materials, we will be painstakingly tweaking down to exact measured values on a part by part basis, of course this includes the PSU. It's gonna be a fun challenge, and I can't wait to get going on it!

Do you have your pair going Shane? Well, I sold 'em all, but I have one unbuilt sitting here and I'm trying to put together some scratch so I can order a couple more when the next batch is done. There is so much time between runs that I want to make sure I have a couple built and ready to go, in addition to my pair. I still have my red cap though, and I have a MK47 completed too (in the small body). Planning to transfer that one to a large body soon too.

I hope Max keeps these runs going. This mic is a music maker. The more people who get them in their hands the better.

The STA and may my Eventide 2016 are the two pieces of gear that you'd have to pry from my cold dead hands. Mic sounds nice. Glad that your having fun with it. There is nothing quite like the honeymoon phase of gear. The manner in which it turns the crank so to speak. Enjoy!

Just compared these to your CV4 mod samples, and wow those are two very different, but incredible sounds. Quite complementary. The CV4 seems modern and up front, and the MK47JKTC is laid back and rich.
