Speaking of which, we don't seem to hear much love for the Burl preamps but I gotta say boys, they are bad ass. Sound great to my ears. I think the magic is in the transformers, which they seem to use in everything. |

Everything they touch in Santa Cruz is ace gear. And I think here's why, I call them up one day to see about getting my B2,calibrated. I couldn't hardly hear the conversation because they were cutting tracks in the studio. Those dudes are music makers first and gear sellers second.
By the way they said to send it in and they would calibrate it free.

Just think of all the advice as a form of intervention: we are acting in your best interest, supporting the improvement of your recording set-up, which will lead to improvement in your songwriting, which will lead to your fame and fortune. Perhaps, who knows. But you can't win if you don't play. At least that's what I tell myself. Buy a Burl, win a Grammy. That's my calculus. YMMV. |
