Be sure to grab Boz's Bark Of Dog plug for free, too, if you are on his webpage. It is emulating the Little Labs Voice of God similar to the UAD VOG and you save your bucks and have a native one... (Which is actually just a resonant hi-pass anyway, that funnily can be sold for a hundredandfifty bucks... It was considered a "secret weapon" in analog age, but is pretty much a common tool in digital world...but you may like to have a nice GUI to impress people... )

I think I'm going to wait for UAD christmas sale to get some new plugs for my Apollo Duo.
In the mean time, I got a mean pair of shorts from Target half off, and some new dress shirts and ties from Sears. My sisters really like me in a nice suit and tie. I like to tidy up my appearance for the sake of people around me.
Oh yeah I got the Emotiva XPA-200 power amp on winter sale, too, and it is literally blowing me away. My monitoring has never been so good in my life as it is now.
I don't know if it's a black friday deal but I got a 900 watt stereo Crown power amp for my bass cabinet stack (1x15, 4x10 SWR cabs) for $200 from Musician's Friend, and it sounds incredible. I think I might retire my Fender Showman Amp from bass guitar duty and put it back on electric guitar. It's just the coolest bass rig. I'm driving two cabinets with a power amp, and driving the power amp with pedals on the front end. No real standard "bass amp" at all! I am probably going to pick up a bass preamp pedal this week for a more refined sound. Probably the Sansamp VT Bass DI (ampeg svt sound) and maybe the Hartke VXL as well for a different option. Sort of a modular bass amp rig. I want to try to use it on synthesizers as well. It's really filling up my small room with sound.
But christmas will probably be all about getting my UAD collection basics covered. It's been hard for me to be motivated to stay out of the box, since the computer mixing is working out so well. It is really tempting to finally build a Hairball 1176 though as well. It's just hard for me to want to spend money on rack gear.

After dialing on the real hardware versions and making direct comparisons to the plugs, its hard for me to buy plugins.

I spent a lot of time doing that and hardware won every single time. Maybe some day they will get there, but until then, I will own a bunch of bad ass heaters.

same PCM4222 AD chip, same dual power supply on the dac side, they didn't say what chips they're using on the DA, but they are using 2, i'm not sure the chip config Svarts using on the AD side? The clock in the antelope is probably very good, i don't know a lot about that stuff, i hope C chimes in and tells us what he thinks is going on with the little info they give, you'd think they'd brag up the SN/DR specs on that thing? $2,200!!! It is so cool that C is doing this 8) I got it for $1860 from the FEA

Kush Audio has all plugins for sale at $99. Still running until the end of Monday. Couldn't help but grab ubk-1 and Clariphonic. Would love to get the hardware, but this will let me play with it for a while. Love Greg's stuff. Oh, and then there's the Fabfilter EQ... Summary: Spent too much this weekend. Still have to buy some X-mas presents for my folks. (What? No Christmas Smiley?)

You know...I haven't really seen anything that enticing...The Sountoys "Cheapest Sale Ever" is a whopping 23.5% off. Whoopie. Fabfilter Mixing Bundle? 25.5% off. Maybe I'm being spoiled...but damn.

Well, the Soundtoys is 23.5% off, but you also get Radiator, MicroShift, Devil-Loc, and PrimalTap free when V5 is released...another ~$300 of plugins. Good enough for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. From what I can tell, the IK deal is probably the best discount around (currently at 75% off)… The +10dB deal is pretty good at 50% off too. Tried it out this morning and I think I'll have to pick it up now. Dammit, GAS!!

Added the TSAR 1 lite version. Hoping the lack of tweakability will be a good thing.
Tempted by the Waves Veq3 Cyber Monday deal ($29) but I still haven't sorted my Waves issues out, so may pass.
Cheers, Geoff

Soundtoys bundle. IK81 (plus 3 undecided free ones). Clariphonic.
VMR isn't bringing anything to the table that I don't have covered already with other plugs, so I'm skipping it this time. Free Revival is cool though.

God you're spoiled! But aren't those percentage discounts considerably better when purchasing from one of the online stores? For example, I got Soundtoys Native Effects for $341.09 and FabFilter Total Bundle for $667.17. I think those prices are better than what the 23.5% and 25.5% would indicate. Anyway, I think I've stopped hemorrhaging money for today. I also got MeterPlugs Perception and the Kush Pusher and Slate VMR. But earlier this year I sold my Waves Mercury and UAD2 with 58 plugins and various bits of hardware that I haven't used for years, for a bit over $10,000. So I'm just filling in the holes with some plugs that seem interesting, and not feeling guilty one bit! At least that's what I keep telling myself.
