I just burned some of my converter savings!..., it's ok though, because I picked up a 48 channel Soundcraft delta 8 with 44 channel meter bridge with a stereo pair of VU's, a brand new CPS750 psu, 7 brand new in the box box deluxe channel strips(some with sowter input transformers!), some new meter cartridge replacements in the box, power cable, and 2 brand new console covers. I bought it from a mega church in Escondido Ca, Jesus this thing is practically brand new! 8) the best thing is it's fully interchangeable with my other delta console, i now have over 120 channel strips, 16 stereo subs and 3 master sections laying around! lol, i will be selling some of this stuff as i clearly don't need it, the new configuration was EXACTLY what i was trying to build, but now it's just plain done, i would have still had to purchase a new ribbon cable, power supply parts for my cps 650, and build some finishes for the chassis, thats all $ and work in the bank=finished, i'm stoked!

Why do you need 48 more channels? Don't you have a board full of modded channels already? Now you'll need to mod all these too right? I don't need 48 more channels, this deal was way too good to pass up, and had too much of what i originally wanted, so i nabbed it, all the strips i have will work in the new delta 8 chassis. Of course I will be selling some of this stuff off. My original plan was to get 32 channels worked out somehow, my first purchase was a 16 channel 4 buss, i had JW mod the master channel, a couple subs and channel strips, then i bought another 24 channel that had a bunch of the strips already modded by jim, including the master channel(now i have 2 modded masters), I mentioned to jim i wish i had more busses, and he said the ch strip pcbs already had the paths burned in them for an 8 buss, so i just needed to add switches, some jumpers and modify the metal, so i started on that(not an easy task). I also cut the metal chassis(2 of them) to create a housing for 42 channels(almost the exact config i just bought), it requires welding and painting and new panels which i still haven't finished(1/2 done), plus the PSU needs some work, and i didn't have a meter bridge which i never liked, With this purchase, i now have exactly what i wanted in a turnkey! This gets me to a state where i can just build my desk, and i will probably make some + money off the sale of what i've already acquired and don't need. There is also 6 more channels on the Delta 8, which will be a bonus if i end up with the 24Ao motu x2 with 48 DA's.....so, i'm a happy camper, plus some sowter transformers, and the meter bridge looks sickkkk! it was a score 8) heres the 9 month - year old beastly PSU

If you need more inputs you can remove the rubber sides and bolt the two frames together. Then a new ribbon can be made to slip though. Theoretically the current sum trans-amp mix design should take about 200 inputs without degrading. Some film guys need that many inputs. Best part is if the mix button is off it gets un-assigned when you don't need them.

Man I am so happy for!! Now you don't have to do as much work and make some cash back! Sweet freakin deal. Cool, thanx Anton! where you been brother? Yeah, i'm psyched about this thing, i've been going through it, cleaning it up, and assembling some loose stuff, it turns out the meter bridge was never mounted and it's actually too big... so get this, i have to saw the metal to size lol! dooughp! I cant get away from having to destroy things? 8) The split is 24 channels on the left, and 14 channels on the right, so when you get down here you can work on the right side and i get the left with the more channels....because... you know, it's mine lol! 8)

It's moving kinda slow man, i haven't exactly been killing it with work, so money is tight. But this new board has kinda re ignited my focus a bit, it's knocked about $1k off the bottom line, and a couple weeks of work at least. Don't get me wrong though, i've been working on things, but in a haphazard manner, i need to focus in and complete one thing at a time to spite my ADD, it's my pre new year, new years resolution 8)

TC in terms of getting shit done, I have a new approach. i ask how much time do I have and what 1 task csn I get done in that time: no matter how small and I do it: good luck.
With you xtra PSU and modules could you make an 8 channel summing unit ? You could probably sell that ?

Thanx M, yes i have a couple extra PSU's, and around 50+ Extra channels/stereo inputs, so yeah I'll be building a few small chassis and offering a couple summing boards, if anyone is interested, let me know a config u may want, and we'll see if we can work out a deal, of course I'm always into trades as well 8) these things sound really good stock, with the Jim Williams mods, they are stunning! Dare I say SSL killers!(in quite a few opinions, including Brad McGowan's)

tonycamphd do you have any experience with the 1600 series Soundcrafts? I love tracking with the 1600's eq's and I'm curious as to how the Delta sounds in comparison.
