So here's what i'm up to right now, like a total 8/ i threw away 22 xlr connectors that were for the in/outs of my 2nd 51x rack, i had to order new ones from jeff and i'm finally finishing the box up! good thing, cause i should be picking up 4 more vp28's and 4 more lc53 eq's in the next month or so..yaaay! the second thing on the table, is the adcom gfa555 power amp, that i'm buffing out for my new supercharged diy proac 100 knock offs. It's been modded by Jim Williams, now i'm in the process of rewiring the whole thing with silver coated 16 awg, shielded 22 gauge, new grounded power cable, bypassing swithces and some fuses , i'm also hfe matching new transistors and recalibrating this bad boy, to get her balanced out and tip top! good times 8) after that it's on to my balanced power conditioner

We have a new E3 tungsten - keeps it point better than thoriated on DC and can be used on AC for aluminum - doesn't ball up... keeps a decent point. Anyhoo - all the best in your welding art. Fitup looks good on your piece - didn't see any warping... tough to avoid on sheet metal.

tonycamphd, you really do love your chicken heads don't you! Doesn't everyone? 8) Its primarily a matter of function, the indicator point is right where you put it with no depth perception phantoms, and they also allow really clear recall pictures.
