Thought this could be a fun thread (especially approaching the holidays) to compare notes…like what’s on your list might end up on mine, or vice versa. Here’s my extensive and expensive list (I’ll never retire) in priority…just ordered an SAE U48 so that covers me on mics for awhile. -ATC SCM45A’s -Chandler RS660 (2) -Coil CA-70S (2) -Vintage Maker insert/bypass box -Chandler Mini Rack (which will also require another Apollo for I/O) -Jamracks V Car Sidecar (to match my desk and stands…and for all the extra gear!) -New and fully kitted out Mac (which one will depend on best option at the time) -Heiserman H251 and/or Vanguard V24 -Trinnov Nova with mic/remote (ARC Studio hardware working decent for now hence why so low on list) -Considering going to JCF from Burl for AD/DA (still undecided) -Separate structure built from scratch on our property, designed solely for studio (Additional instruments and plugs throughout as well) Of course this is ever evolving…but I could remortgage or win the lottery and do it all now?

I'd love to pay a tech a couple grand to make my console function perfectly, though most of the issues are work arounable.
251 or C12s (clone fine) C37a
Birch drumset
Les Paul
U67 (clone OK)
Hovland solid carved snare
Rhodes
Clavinet

I’d like to finish restoring my Auditronics Grandson console. It’s 95% done, then the wiring part 🤮
Purchase wise…I’d like a Roland Juno 106 or 60 and a Clavinet to finish out the studio keyboard room, as well finish fixing up the C3.
Besides that, *maybe* a different headphone system. It’s expensive but the HearBack Pro would be an easy swap since we use the original. But, sadly, 6 more me’s usually aren’t enough.
And possibly building a sound lock/storage to lessen some air conditioner noise and make a place to keep stands
Plus whatever good deal comes my way 😂

I’ve only been in need of a pair of Coil Audio CA-70s for many years now. However, I’ve mostly been buying microphones for so many years now… Like I need more microphones! I can say the same for preamps too though!

True wishlist would be an endless rabbit hole, but immediate wishlist that I plan on having materialize in the near term:
-Lynx Aurora 24TB -Pair of UMT70s -Redd 47 or two -Soyuz 017 Tube -6G6-B Bassman -New, large ISO booth for amps

- A (pickup) truckload of tube traps - B3/Leslie
But most of all (and the reason I'm not buying anything significant for a while) a dedicated ADU for my studio. Renting one half (trackng room) and repurposing the other half (mixing room in what should be our largest bedroom) is working fine for now. But one day the two will meet right in my backyard!

Maybe some monitors to replace the ones that recently died.
A LCD with multiple patterns, preferably tube.
A pair of sdcs and ribbons.
Another Daking Fet II. While we’re on compressors maybe a 609. A pair of Distressors?
Better bass.
Carr BelRay. amp.
A space that’s not a bedroom or a basement.?
A J45/50/SJ.
Bricasti maybe.
I dunno. That’s enough for now.
Cheers, Geoff

Iron Age Audio QPP A second Samar VL37a A smaller body acoustic that I actually fall in love with (keep trying to like J45s because I love some people’s recordings of them, but I never really gel with any that I play)

Kali SM-5 Austrian Audio CC8 pair A bunch of grace design channels At least 5 EV RE50b Dan, talk to me about why the kali ? You are very knowledgeable about bad /good speakers: what do you like about them ? I’m kinda always on te hunt (but with no dough), for a good 3 way monitor, tend to default to used lyd48’s , but by the time I look at exchange , shipping, duties, get to pricey without warranty ! So, why those kali ? Thx!

I've had the bug for new monitors lately. Not sure what I want yet. Since this is basically a hobby for me now I can't justify spending a lot on them while I have ones that still get the job done. I might just add something like some Auratones to give me a different perspective. I auditioned a pair of Focal Shape 65's. Not sure that's what I want but they did sound good.
I've also been considering adding another 500 rack to my setup. There are a few Items I would like to add to my hardware. A couple channels of some sort of transient designers, perhaps 2 Capi Audio Bacon channels for my master buss.
On the microphone front, I have always wanted a Sennheiser MD441 or 2. I think I'd like to have a Beyer M160 or something similar. A bright ribbon of sorts.

I need a Leslie for my A100.
That and I’m going to invest in a new computer (my 2012 mini isn’t cutting it anymore), and an HDX system.

I really want an RS660 still for vocals or bass, and either (ok both) elysia mpressor and Overstayer SVC for drum parallel mangling or aggressive sound design.
Mayer 456HD 500 units or possibly the 2RU Mastering version. Anyone using these?
A Bricasti M7 still, despite having an increasing amount of plugin imitations available.
The Benson Studio Spring reverb also sounds fantastic.
And mostly, I want to get my Eventide Orville back to life. One of the best FX boxes I've ever used, and sadly the CPU and/or memory chips are no longer working. I hear Beamish can revive these, that's a long trip from Taiwan but maybe my best option.

That is part of my various instruments to get over time.

Iron Age Audio QPP A second Samar VL37a A smaller body acoustic that I actually fall in love with (keep trying to like J45s because I love some people’s recordings of them, but I never really gel with any that I play) I forgot, I should've added the Iron Age QPP to my list! Haven't heard one in person, but they seem to be very well-liked and the cost per channel is pretty unbeatable I'm trying to put together a really compact mobile rig for maximum inputs/minimum space. I want to pick up an Arturia Audiofuse X8 IN (8 channel ADAT Converter) to use with my Apollo Twin. I have a 2-space rack with an AEA RPQ3, but wanted a 4-channel pre to add to that, and the Iron Age seems like the best option. I also have a BAE 1073 DMP, so with all of that I would have 9 inputs with a 2 space rack, Apollo twin and the Arturia unit (footprint similar to the Apollo Twin).
