Looks like they just had a price drop of -$200.

Experience? Looks like they just had a price drop of -$200. It looks to me like everyone is discounting stuff. Even used gear is cheap. It seems like there's some nervousness around the economy. If true, maybe black Friday sales will be crazy.

No one has experience with this, or did I simply not find the thread?
Lot's of hype by salesmen on youtube, but it looks like a genuine good upgrade from mk2.

I had the mk2 too. Sold it as it felt too limiting back then.
The mk3s ability to load and switch between two different EQs and compressors seem great to me. The channelstrip that comes seem good too. Surgical / passive (pultec?) EQs, FET / Opto / VCA compressor.
Seem much more flexible now. Price is high though. But if it works as the dream it is trying to sell, it might be worth it.
Like Dan pointed out in the other thread, people measure problems caused by the anti-aliasing filter. Not sure if it is a problem in practice though, as it is past the AA filter and thus past anyones ability to hear? It is logical to think that it has an effect on the signal anyway though, but if it sounds good it is good?

I still haven't ever been able to verify whether or not this problem still exists, or if Softube has now given the option to turn these filters off if you don't want them in the path. For me, it's not so much of a "does it still exist, but isn't a problem in practice", sort of thing. In a nutshell, I simply just don't like the idea of a hardware controller inserting itself into my signal path, no matter how little it may or may not be monkeying with my signal path. It's a hardware controller (glorified mouse), afterall.

If one look past the lack of a transport and a fader, it seems to me like this controller/software and the workflow it creates is something alot of people would appreciate. I'm thinking of giving it a chance now. So any experience with this particular version is highly sought after On other sites I read a mixture of praise and issues.
