I love my V4 although I've never used it yet as an overhead. I have been using a Rode K2 for the kind of thing you're talking about but Like a say, I'm sure you'll enjoy the V4.

I have the big brother of that mic, the Delphos. It is good over the kit, but I like it too much on vocals and FOK to leave it up there. Also, it is a heavy mic and the clip isn’t strong enough to support it horizontally. I actually might get a third-party clip anyway as it sags in normal use too (I’m on my second clip). I am considering getting a mini k87 or mini k47 as mono overhead still…I’ll probably end up getting a couple options used and selling back whatever I don’t choose. Rycote! |
