The TM1 is interesting in that it has (2) modes and utilizes the rolloff switch in the front to go between them. So when you refer to the "two modes". I'm assuming that is a specific mod that yours has? I thought I remember seeing something about that. I think mine is just a standard HPF but maybe I'm wrong. Mine has an EF80 tube in it. I bought it used so it's several years old but it's still got the gray painted body (not the older black body - those seemed to mostly use the EF12 tubes I think?). It sounds exactly like what I was hearing in my head (but the only other $$$$ boutique 47/48 mic I've used is a Wunder CM7s, and not simultaneously...) As far as I know the TM-1 has a low pass filter, not a high pass filter. What you think is a high pass filter is probably the low pass filter I'm talking about. Flip it on and try it. It should make the mic sound more mellow on top. That's what mine does. When I received mine it was in the more mellow vintage mode permanently. David added the switch to allow for going back and forth between modes, as his current line does. Like I said, I'm always surprised no one talks about this. Try the switch and let me know if that works for you.

I think there are plenty of examples out there showcasing all these mics. It's worth sharing some of my favorites. Of course, there are some great performances here and that helps.
For the Peluso mics:
Peluso 2247SE:
Peluso P49 on vocals, 2247SE on acoustic guitar:
Peluso P49 on vocals, 2247SE on acoustic guitar:
P12 on vocals, P84 on ukulele, and TR14 on electric guitar:
Peluso P67 on vocals, TR14 ribbon on Trumpet:
For Advance Audio, here is one of the videos that got me interested in those mics and worth sharing.
AA CM67SE on vocals, looks like a CM67SE and CM12 on acoustic guitar:
For the AA CM49, I think my video is one of the few out there showcasing it.
For the warm mics, I think this videos show them off.
WA47 & WA67 on male vocals.
There is also a full version of the completed song out there:

I don't think I've actually tried it tbh (thinking it was a HPF)

For us it is more than 50k to come to NAMM but it is such a good way to meet and greet the customers. Advertising in business is never easy but shows like NAMM (regardless of cost) are pretty Much still a necessity in this business. NAMM is something that we as a business need to budget for, even though it hurts…….
Btw, this was supposed to come as a reply to Derek’s post, lol. It didn’t work.

I'm glad so many people love singing. I used to be hyper critical of singers, but somewhere along the way I learned to love all of them. Especially when someone's real voice is the last thing you hear today.

Especially when someone's real voice is the last thing you hear today. Also just hearing a real voice. Partially in the "not AI" sense, but also in that sense of how pitch correction completely strips the character out of many pop vocals.
