than SD3? I bought that Illbert pack and then started playing around with the main kits in EZ3 again...Maybe I'm crazy - but some of these just sound waaaay more ready to go than a lot of the SDX expansions. Maybe I just really really like Michael Illbert's take on things - I noticed the new presets in EZ3 are all him too. But even the house drums sound great.

I like ez3 and sold SD 3. SD3 seemed very expensive, and more so if you add libraries.

I am using ezd3 exclusively now. I sold off all my sdx for sd3.
John do this……edit or play in a groove into ezd3…..do it with really shit timing and velocity levels.
Then highlight it all and use the humanise function……then under the timing menu select normal….pushed…and laid back …and see hear what it does to the levels and timing of the notes.
It’s pretty amazing.
I can play in a part using my e kit badly. Then in a few clicks sort out 99% of the level issues……and get the timing spot on…..then easily lay back the verses…and push the chorus…it’s pretty amazing.
the only thing that is an issue is no way to get the individual elements of the kit out…other than bouncing one at a time
Cheers

EZD has multi outs. What DAW are you using and where are you having an issue?
Edit: Wait...Luna?

What if you export as audiofile(s), can you get selerate files for each drum element?

There’s a drop down in ez for exporting file(S), can you solo in the mixer, the part you want like kick or snare and just export that, is it for more processing ?

ps: in mixer, there is a mixer button, centre left, if you click on it, you have drop downs for output: stereo or multi.
So, as long as you set up the outs, you could have separate stems in your mix.

Here's my EZD3 multi outs in Reaper:
I do most of my writing and editing just with the standard stereo out, then when it's time to mix, open a track template that I've created of any of my fave kits and can individually process each track without the laborious process of bouncing each track individually. Plus I can tweak individual kit pieces should I need to.

It's not EZ3, it's Luna. Luna doesn't have the multi capability yet I don't think.

Yes luna Does Luna not support multi-out instruments?? I always hear about the lack of hardware inserts or an I/O plugin for outboard, but I've never heard about a lack of multi-out instruments. That would be nearly as big a problem to me (personally) as the lack of hardware inserts.
I love hearing how you're using EZD3, Wiz! Very cool stuff.

No multi-outs and lack of I/O for hardware makes it a hard no even out of curiosity. I can't get my head around how a DAW in 2024 doesn't have those features implemented.
Anyway, completely with you on Illbert. His Signature EZX packs are great.

So I think I’m sold on EZD3 just because of the new Singer Songwriter EZX expansion…sounds soooo good! Wondering, does anyone else have it installed on an external SSD, and if so, does it perform well? I don’t have enough room left on my main drive.

It should work better than a normal HD for sure.

All of the samples in both SD3 and EZD3 are loaded into RAM when you pull up a kit. So the only advantage in putting them on an SSD vs a HDD is that they will load faster when you first pull it up (or open a session). Once a kit is loaded into RAM, it doesn’t matter what kind of drive they were stored on. They don’t stream from disk.

Just to clarify though, these are external drives correct? I.e. I have an SSD in my Mac as well. My external SSD is connected via usb-c I think?
