No, not ATC they're too fat (I nearly bought the SCM 100's) and I don't love the 25's / 45's so I'd rather keep the Dyn's. On that subject why? Well the Dyn's constantly beat me over the head with information and whilst they are some of the most performant or impressive monitors I've heard I'm not really enjoying them plus I want proper analog damn it. Also no, not Neumann, Genelec or Hedd as the core's are several steps above. Well it depends which Genelec's but the one's I want are way above my budget..
So, suggestions? I'm thinking about finally going with the PSI A23 M's the 17's / 21's are average but the 23's / 25's are pretty damn sweet.

How about 2 very different approaches. I don’t think 20K in Britain would cover a big old pair of old School TAD’s ( the definition of Authority). But maybe modern Augspergers.
In a totally different vein, a nice little Pair of Meyer Aimee’s.

Geithain RL903Ks is definitely where I’d start.
Love the Ocean Way HR4s with a pair of subs. From what I’ve heard so far, I like them better than the HR3.5s.
Still wish we would have gotten the HR3s with subs (we were absolutely floored with them) instead of the ATC 150s with subs. Studio owner was scared the HR3s wouldn’t fit. I’d imagine twice the price was a bigger consideration. Plus, he fell in love the 150 mid-dome after we had a listening-session for 6-hours at 25th Street, Oakland, in their live-room; after a few days of me doing sessions on their 300s with subs.
I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with ATC. They definitely generally lean more toward the love-side with me in this studio, as compared to my hate-side lean in my studio with 300s without subs. All the smaller ATCS (haven’t heard the 100s though), I find I love them quiet and hate them loud. Actually, that’s how it was with the 300s in my studio too. Not with 150s at 25th or in this studio.

So you have the analytical mains. Why not a vibe pair of nearfields like Questeds or Focals? V2108 or ST6. It’s hard to hate music on them. The new ST6 are good. They got rid of the mud and they sound like faster, brighter good KRKs.
Why not ATCs? They’re more detailed than Dynaudio without the boosted mud and boosted top end to make you hate music. The SCM50 ASL is great.

Fully analog, none of this digital hockey pokey manipulation of substandard drivers.
Good old, first class British engineering.
With that kinda budget, I think it would be crazy not to get the best.

With ATC it's a matter of logistics, in the bigger room you saw Dan no issues and I was planning to put some SCM100's in there until I got a quote from the acousticians to sort that oversized room out.. |

Super cool person and very knowledgable, I've been tempted to try out a 934K demo pair (they start at 30Hz so full range and these are proper coaxial's with cardioid bass).. I think the issue is I'm going to really like them.

Ex Machina Quasars are some of the best I've heard.
People get annoyed at the marketing and the DSP aspect but they are the clearest, least fatiguing new things I've heard in a long time.
