Well I finally figured out how to use RX8 (old version I know) and I get it now. Really awesome. But using the plugin is worthless, the money is in the standalone app.
I guess this is probably obvious to most but it wasn't to me.

Also it was so freakishly effective at removing mouth noise on an extremely close miked, whispered vocal that I'm hard pressed to imagine what the subsequent versions could possibly be doing better. At least at that particular task.

I have ozone advanced, the one that lets you use individual modules as plugins. Im on hardware for most stuff that needs some tone, but I use the eq a lot for clean sculpting and hi/lo filters. most of my de-essing is with the compressor on multiband targeting the sibilance. And I use the exiter a decent amount, most often on tracks I didn’t record that need a lot of help. Exciter can be cool on drum close mics as a tone shaper to transform lackluster drum sounds.
I find many of the other plugins useful from time to time but those three get a lot of use from me. One of the settings in the maximizer can sound really cool on aggressive drums too.

But I must say the RX10 plugin for clicks and mouth noises works really well. I do not have any previous versions so I can not say if there is any progress regarding the versions. But basically I choose the spot and and with very easily getting the settings right and render, 95% of the time leaves it spotless with no audible artifacts.
