I meant to post this earlier but I'm a bit slow in my shopping this year.
VI-Control always does a big Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales list each year that covers tons of vendors.

Got the UAD Signature bundle. Just in time for Pro Tools to decide it can’t open.
I’m excited for the day I leave PT behind.

Enjoy, that’s great value!
Ya, PTPITA, walked away 5 year’s ago to logic and never looked back.
You are so creative, have you demoed studio one ?

Was just logging in here to report the same thing. I've been demo-ing C-Suite C-Vox and pretty happy for some specific uses. Went on the site to see if this is finally included in any sales and sure enough was able to pick up C-Vox and SC for $99. Considering I was ready to pay like $175+ for C-Vox alone I'm pretty happy.

Seems like it does the job. I just need it to grow into some standard features (like hardware inserts) and then I would be able to give a real go. I like that they copied a lot of basics and keystrokes from PT. I'm rooting for Luna. If it matures some more, it could be a real viable contender, in my book.

Exponential Stratus and Symphony are down to $25 and $33 respectively. I’m pretty sure those are the lowest ever prices for each of those. Pretty great deal if you still use R4 and/or Nimbus and want updated versions.

Black Salt finally has Clipper on sale ($19). Buying that today. I think the “one deal every day” thing is dumb. Just put it all on sale so I can grab Silencer and Clipper and be done with it.

I want to get the Sound City plug-in as part of the UAD two for $99 sale. I need thoughts on picking the other plug. I've always wanted the CL1b, but I have at least a 1/2 dozen good compressors, all the 1176's, LA2A's, Klanhelm, the UAD 176 (which I really like).
I'm thinking of an SSL channel strip, the CL1b or the Capitol Chambers mastering compressor. I've been using Logic's DBX compressor on my 2 bus for the last coupe of albums, and it works well, but the Capitol Chambers might be an upgrade.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, might not end up seeing a ton of use from me either, but I kinda feel like it will actually make it into the workflow for me. But I’m in a very specific spot - recording myself in a small, dead room. SC feels like something I could wrangle into some cool/useable ambience, in ways that differ from what I do with ‘normal’ reverbs. For the rest of that Signature bundle…I don’t have any of it, so pretty huge bang for the buck. I know I want stuff like the Fairchild, API2500, Distressor, Dimension D, Pure Plate…and will for sure use the 1176, LA2a, Pultec and several others. It’s like $6 a plug-in, pretty dang tempting. I just spent two full days testing SCS…..and the other plugs in the signature bundle…..that I didn’t own….. SCS is as good as the Bricasti as ONE studio if…..IF you use it in reverb mode…….i found remic mode practically useless…..also it’s not a click and use …..it required me to spend a bit of time to learn how to dial it in ….but when done it’s certainly worth getting in that 2 for 99 offer as is the Capitol compressor. i ended up ponying up for the signature bundle which gave me ravel piano, moog instruments and a heap of things I don't own ….and far too many that I do 8(…… but seemed the best path at this point there are some killer deals if you don’t own anything cheers Wiz Damnit. Stop it. I don’t need anything else. I’ve been wondering whether I should just buy one of the packs to just go ahead and replace my spark sub. Really, there is only plug that I don’t already own in spark that I actually use: Capitol Comp. I would lose a couple things I don’t really use that are cool to have…but I could live without. Oh and it’s pretty cool that scs is included in spark. Btw - am I the only one that thinks there’s entirely too much room sound in Ravel?

I feel like you can safely cross the SSL Channel strip off your list. You can get the same thing from plug-in alliance for $29.99 on sale (right now actually). I’d reach to USD for the more esoteric stuff.

I thought the same exact thing this last weekend, after buying it in the producer pack. I was pretty quickly looking for where I could turn off the ambience, but after my very quick demo it seems like it’s baked into the sound. It still sounds cool but it makes it kind of a one trick pony.

The last time I checked it still had issues with the meter and UA says it’s softubes issue to fix. I use cap comp on the 2 bus. Kind of arrived at a m/s setting that I thought sounded better than other 2 bus options I had been using. (Vari mu, 2500)…but I could go back without anyone noticing. Makes me think I should try the pulsar Vari mu again.

If it’s just for a track in the mix, I’d just use that or Keyscape. I do kinda want to buy Pianoteq for that aging slider. Taking it slightly out of relative tune makes it sound soooo much more realistic. Think that’s on sale too.

Today ua has an any 2 bundle for $99, you can’t pick everything (no ampex), but you can pick Sound City: a brand new $350 plug for $45! Maybe something changed, but I was able to get the Ampex 102 in the 2-bundle, along with basically everything else I wanted and then some. I'm still new in the UAD/plugin game, but I was able to repeatedly pickup the 2-bundle packages, then get a $25 gift code each time, and then repeat the process. I was originally going to get the 3-for-3 bundle for $400, but ultimately got 10 plugins for the same price, and then burned my last $25 coupon to get the A800 for $25. Mainly tracking and mixing drums over here....
All in all, my little haul was Ampex 102, Sound City, API EQs, Neve 1073, Neve RMX16, Lexicon 224, SSL Bus Comp, SSL Channel Strip, EMT 140, SPL Transient Designer, and then the A800 on its own. That was about $425...I think I did ok at about $40 a plugin. Just trying to build up a nice set of usuable things to go along with the few Soundtoys, Valhallas, and FabFilters I already had.

Got the UAD Signature bundle. Just in time for Pro Tools to decide it can’t open. I’m excited for the day I leave PT behind. What? PT has just never been super stable for me, there always seems to be buggy s%#$. Last night it just stopped being able to load. Fresh install resolved it, but blech. Dumb buggy stuff seems like it shouldn’t be there in such a mature product. But…I know it so well and I’m fast in it and I don’t want to spend my limited studio time on learning a new DAW. But someday, my available time and/or the appeal of some other DAW (maybe Luna?) will cause/allow me to ditch PT. I look forward to that day.

Although it freezes occasionally. Luna has only ever crashed once on me. Even though using it is pretty seamless coming from PT, I’m still not as fast in it and it’s not as deep by a long shot. I actually despise the cue system in Luna, though. The whole routing thing is overly complicated imo.

There's definitely some "grass is always greener" in my completely uneducated conjecture about Luna.

Thinking about picking up Tai Chi Lite, Reverberate 3, and/or Stratus (I have Nimbus and am on PC but I like the idea of being future proofed since Nimbus hasn’t been updated for years). Does anyone want to give me the “you don’t need more reverbs” speech?
Added: I am at 99% hobby at this phase of my life and don’t mix anything other than my own recordings anymore. I also don’t record anything with real commercial intent these days.
I have VVV, UVI Plate, R4, Nimbus, the IK Verbs, Acon Reverberate (if I ever find my old installer), Arturia 140, Abbey Road Chambers, Glow, Eventide 2016, and a large bank of hardware IRs. 😛

It’s an IR playground (and you mention you have a lot of IRs). I say get it.
