Today ua has an any 2 bundle for $99, you can’t pick everything (no ampex), but you can pick Sound City: a brand new $350 plug for $45! Maybe something changed, but I was able to get the Ampex 102 in the 2-bundle, along with basically everything else I wanted and then some. I'm still new in the UAD/plugin game, but I was able to repeatedly pickup the 2-bundle packages, then get a $25 gift code each time, and then repeat the process. I was originally going to get the 3-for-3 bundle for $400, but ultimately got 10 plugins for the same price, and then burned my last $25 coupon to get the A800 for $25. Mainly tracking and mixing drums over here....
All in all, my little haul was Ampex 102, Sound City, API EQs, Neve 1073, Neve RMX16, Lexicon 224, SSL Bus Comp, SSL Channel Strip, EMT 140, SPL Transient Designer, and then the A800 on its own. That was about $425...I think I did ok at about $40 a plugin. Just trying to build up a nice set of usuable things to go along with the few Soundtoys, Valhallas, and FabFilters I already had.
I hope you did the math, how many plugs in total did you buy, as the larger bundles double the number of plug ins you can buy? You might want to check that and if you did pay more with multiple 2/99, maybe calm cs asap and see if anything can be dine

It's the best way to do it. $50 a plugin The next one up is the 3 bundle which is low a 6. But it's $400 or 66 a plugin.
The best thing you can do is just by the 2 for $99 over and over.

It is my go-to transparent compressor for peak control. It might get used every once in a while on a bus, but insane mode on individual tracks as needed is where it shines for me.

I only wanted 6 plug-ins, so for me, the 3-3 deal initially made sense. Some quick math (plus the additional $25 each purchase) made it seem like anything but the 2-for-100 was a bad deal for a modest number of plug-ins. With the $25 purchase coupon, it’s really like $75 for 2 plug-ins if you start stacking the buys. Oddly enough, I had no intention of getting the Ampex (which for some reason seems like it’s not available to everyone?). Here is the screenshot of what I saw Attachment Deleted

Thinking about picking up Tai Chi Lite, Reverberate 3, and/or Stratus (I have Nimbus and am on PC but I like the idea of being future proofed since Nimbus hasn’t been updated for years). Does anyone want to give me the “you don’t need more reverbs” speech? Added: I am at 99% hobby at this phase of my life and don’t mix anything other than my own recordings anymore. I also don’t record anything with real commercial intent these days. I have VVV, UVI Plate, R4, Nimbus, the IK Verbs, Acon Reverberate (if I ever find my old installer), Arturia 140, Abbey Road Chambers, Glow, Eventide 2016, and a large bank of hardware IRs. 😛 I love Reverberate 3. It’s an IR playground (and you mention you have a lot of IRs). I say get it. Lol, thanks for enabling, I picked it up

Here is the screenshot of what I saw Ampex isn't native yet, so it won't be available to you if you have no UAD hardware.

Installing UAD plugs used to take one minute. Now, I can't even figure out HOW to install them. I do have the native versions of the plug-ins I've bought for use with the Apollo. It's been a while, but I don't recall any issue downloading them.
I went for the $99 bundle, got the Sound City room and the Capitol mastering compressor. I couldn't really tell if they were DSP or native when buying. Either way, it shouldn't be so complicated. I went to UAD Connect, and got nowhere.

I think I know why I don't see Ampex, its because its not native and my account knows I have no ua hardware, so can only run uadx plugs

They are both uad2 and uadx so you will have two folders in logic and depending on which folder you open, they will run on your Apollo or your computer.

I have UAD Connect. Capitol Compressor and Sound City show on my iLok activations, but nothing shows up in Logic. I'm not running the newest Logic update yet.. Not sure if that should matter as far as installing. They don't show up when I go to instantiate a UAD plug-in.

There are two processes, license activation and installation. It should clearly state “installed” in UA Connect

There’s a “refresh” button at the top of UA Connect that will update available stuff. And then, as mentioned, you have to hit download, then install once it’s downloaded.

This is intriguing to me. I'm always experimenting with ways to make vocals, and solos just SIT, without doing a ton of automation. Sometimes it's 2-3 compressors, or parallel, but I'd really like to have a simple solution. Is that what you're doing with Kotelnikov GE?

Thanks Matt. I'm too tired to bother now. It's become ridiculously complicated. I'll wait for UAD to contact me. I see the new plugs, but I can't find a Download page. I keep getting a prompt that says to connect to my iLok. When I try, no password seems to work. I'm frustrated.

If so, what does it say on the right? That's where the all the actionable stuff is. Are you seeing any "Download" "Update" or "Installed" over there?
