Yeah - I might take some of the very top off with the ML - 18-22khz rolloff in the future. Seems to clean that up a little.

Agree with Wiz, jk, ur voice is kickass! Just for giggles, maybe try hard de essing, and also pulling those frequencies you say you don't like(was it 1-4k?) from your verb send? I usually roll a lot of top off verbs myself.

Yea... both the Capi VP28 and Heritage 73JR with the new mic sound great..... great! The JR sounds larger then life, the VP28 is so there and would not need much eq processing in a mix. I would use the 73 on more open sung songs and the VP28 on more dense mixes.

Oh - BTW - I recorded these at 40db with the Att at about 2 o'clock...Probably would have sounded better at 30db no atten like Wiz mentioned...Thought it sounded a little better that way, but it might be a little wooly. This song is riiight in the nasally honk range for me...I thought this pre handled it great! I have no idea how I would eq it with music - this was just acapella - so not really a real world example...But that's what it sounds like going down.
