It's a good sounding guitar. I know you said you don't use it much, but have you considered that when producing you can have it as an option for other players as well? As I listen to the cut it strikes me as a great acoustic for dense production, because if feels like it would be present, even around other instruments, which is a good thing. Some acoustics are better for 'in productions' than others.

Yeah, wow, that thing sounds great! How much work does it take to make it sound like that? If the answer is "none", that's a lot of time saved over the years.

Even as a non player, special instruments are often truly once in a lifetime finds. I’ll never find another 68 Les Paul Studio or Alembic California Special!

The more I’m around session guys, the less I want to play. That sounds defeatist - and I guess it is - but you don’t have to be great at everything. That being said - great gear allows you to use it and not have to futz with anything. It just works and doesn’t impede the creative process. So, in the context of this thread, the fact that I can put up a mic and just record an acoustic and I only have to concern myself with the performance and not the recording - is a huge deal.
I’ve said before that truthfully, the whole chain matters. The mic, the pre, the comp, the AD and then the DA and monitors you’re listening through…if there’s a bottleneck anywhere in the chain, you’re compromised. So - even before the mic - there’s the instrument. And before that, it’s the person playing the instrument.

John - you have nothing to be concerned about session people or anyone else. Your voice and guitar is superb and can bring all that music has to offer to many people. Cheers!
