Molot GE is probably my most used compressor. Sounds great on nearly everything. I usually dial the sound in in Insane mode and set it to render the highest quality, but then set it to Eco in order to use a lot of them on my mixes

Plugin Boutique has a sale going on Softube products, including their transient shaper for $10 using the code: STUPG1.
I own the Plugin Alliance version of Transient Designer, but recently had a terrible support experience trying to get it working again. They basically told me to try something I already tried (which I had documented in the ticket) and when it didn't work they stopped replying.
So I am moving on.

UA 1176 collection is 39.99 at Audio Deluxe. That's an even bigger drop from the 80 or whatever it was they were selling it for a couple months ago.
I liked the sound of their blue stripe when I had spark, but do I really need more compressors? 😂

Ursa Boost is on sale. Very cool upwards limiter. That does look pretty cool. I was not aware of this. Looks like it may be able to do the upwards compression/limiting that I use MV2 for. I use MV2 a lot on vocals, just to bring low level stuff up, never to use the downward compression. This might be just the thing. A cleaner way to achieve similar results. Thanks for the info. |

Edit: ooh, the rebranded, stripped down versions of those are in this bundle… Dude, I got the 1176 collection a couple weeks ago for like $30 or $50 or something, and those were literally my very first UA plugins ever. So their new strategy may be "working," whatever "working" means these days in the land of plugin development. So I've ended up with quite a few plugins for no more than $100. I don't even know yet how much I'll actually use these, but it was worth that much to have 'em around and see what I think over time. |

I tried a few of the plugs in the Essentials bundle (or whatever the one you can crossgrade for $49 from the freebie is called). Stuff sounds good. Pure Plate has the vibe I remember from the EMT140, though I miss the different A/B/C plates. Oxide sounds really cool, but is very overt. UAD wouldn’t let me demo the Pultec because I already demo’d it, lol like 10 years ago back when I bought it. The Galaxy echo didn’t sell me as much, but I hardly played with it. Also it’s been years since I used a real Space Echo.
I don’t know if I’ll bite, but the plugs sound good.

ragan if you ask ua cs to reset your demo they likely will. Or what ua connect, can’t you try the plugs in the sub plan which I think includes pultec?

Repeater, FF Timeless, Echoboy, and the one I probably use most often the Eventide H3000. The UAD Galaxy is I think quite old code. Sounds fine, but didn’t at all strike me as remarkable. |

I just don’t really care to go to the trouble. I know the Pultec is good, from having it before. Same with the LA2a collection. I don’t really need any of it, but sometimes it’s fun to get new things. |
