This is just a superb eq. On vocals, drums, guitars, stereo bus, masters…honestly this EQ does not get enough love. It has high mids that cut a mix like butter yet sound absolutely velvety. Low end is powerful and tight. It’s a legend! Anyone got one and loving it?

Great timing?! Mine arrived today. Looking forward to dropping this in tomorrow. Will start with full mix. I'd start tonight, but my ears aren't sober at the moment, ha!

Smart move - don’t drink and rack! Y’all are killing me — I totally don’t need this…well…I mostly don’t need this. But the functionality is perfect. And the price is right. Argggg…

Unfortunately, I might have to wait until V3.

My wild shot in the dark would be a reference to the V2 rockets made in WWII...

I think the name reflects that this is the "2 channel version" (i.e., "V2") of an EQ you previously released, though updated, from the CS1 channelstrip. <bows for applause>
no; seriously, <bows for applause>

Worth the shot anyways...I'm literally a week or two away from purchasing one, as soon as I finish this last audiobook (the third of three!) and get paid. So hey, I'll get to find out!

I've got it last in line on my chain before an ngBusComp and it is absolutely bringing this track into the pocket. Using the mastering mode. Really opens the upper mids and top without getting harsh at all. And the smoothness of the lowend is fantastic. Loving this thing so far!

Has anybody used the V2 and the CAPI BT50 and can say how they compare? 2X BT50 is close in price to the V2 and they have some similar frequency points and features.

You can't go wrong either way but they're very different, IMHO. My BT50's hang off of a Flock so they're dedicated to different duties. The V2 is something special, but I will probably never track through it now that I've had it in place for a few weeks. I do use a 5500 in the chain before it but with an SSL Fusion in the middle, but the V2 sits where the MAS used to be and I dig what the V2 is doing. The TapeOp review is spot on.
