What currency are the prices in $150,000 for cables , that can’t be right.

I passed on every Black Friday software deal because I pre-ordered a Hydrasynth. It's been difficult because some of them are so cheap, but there's nothing that truly does something unique that my existing plugs can't do already.
The only thing I keep going back to is the Waves Vocal Rider, but even then I know that I can get better results doing it by hand.

Snagged Magenta and Opal for about the same cost as if I bought the UAD Massive Passive. I'd still like to own that one as well.
So, in my latest mastering chain I had VSC2, DS-1, and Unisum toward the end before Satin. Each doing a little. Before that I think I had VSE-2, SPL Passeq, and then UAD DFC and VSM-3. Just little moves on each.
What I notice is that the Acustica stuff sounds bigger and thicker than Passeq and VSC-2. Or even IK432. I don't really need the DS-1 in the chain with Opal or Magenta in place of Passeq and Magenta comp in place of VSC-2.
When I just use that Passeq chain, but with Magenta in place of VSC-2, the chain sounds about as big and thick as the Acustica stuff with DS-1 disabled.
Passeq is definitely easier to fit into a master than these Acquas. It's also easier to get a master to translate with via VSX.
Sometimes my Acustica masters done with VSX would sound a lot worse if Scarlett was in place of Passeq, hence why I didn't buy that one as well. I've got to try it without the DS-1 though.
What I did with Opal and Magenta with DS-1 off was to get more vibe than the Passeq but not lose the precision.
Too bad Vertigo doesn't have a sale, I'm definitely curious about VSM-4 and VSC-3. With VSE-2, I'm mainly just adding 1 db of the "air" and filtering out up to 54hz usually.
I'm still not a fanboy of Acustica. I like the products, but I've never understood the hype. The slow workflow can cost someone a lot of time too.

Even 50 cents less at PluginDiscounts, LOL! Seriously, I thought I was done buying compressors for the time being... I guess I was wrong.

Loving the black friday purchases i made.
Lancaster amp sim, eli arouser and ampeg v4b have really made a significant difference to the options i have mixing.
To be honest with those 3 plugs alone i can do anything creative itb i need.
How is everyone else travelling

I haven't been recording much, been mostly playing saxophone, but one of my recent purchases was the PA Amek EQ200. It sounded reallly good on the first mix I used it on! Happy with it.

been mostly playing saxophone, Its a dirty job, but someone's got to do it LOL! Absolutely it is, sucking in the spit from the mouthpiece for example is recommended. Gotta keep that thing clean. It's a very challenging instrument and surprisingly loud, I am taking a day off from practice because my ears are ringing.

Please consider using some ear plugs (eg: www.amazon.com/Etymotic-High-Fidelity-Earplugs-Standard-Packaging) or over the ear muffs (eg: www.amazon.com/DISON-Cancelling-Hearing-Protection-Safety) to not have hearing problems in future. I have a constant chirping of crickets in my ear, and last week doctor said it is tinnitus! :-( Cant do anything now!

Been a long time since. Playing and holding sustained notes for the first 15 minutes of practice does wonders.

Been a long time since. Playing and holding sustained notes for the first 15 minutes of practice does wonders. Yeah long tones! I start on middle C then I go all the way to low Bb, then all the way up as high as I can go. Usually takes 10 minutes, or more with a narrower tip mouthpiece. I bet you could pick it back up in no time if you wanted to, with that much experience. jits I have some over the ear muffs coming in the mail. For long tones especially I don't really need to be hearing those at full volume. I guess I should get used to wearing some protection for the regular playing as well, running scales for example. This is giving me more ringing than even the electric guitar does! Guess I better address it now. I have a few different earplugs available here too.
