Here’s the post from UA forum about the member who created an app to clean up your UA plugs, meaning hiding the one’s you don’t own, to speed up your selection search process. RogueM said: 16th December 2020 UAD PlugIn Cleaner for Mac - Keep DAW Plugins in sync with Console Hi everybody - I have put together a macOS helper app to easily manage UAD plugins in a DAW, with particular emphasis on minimising the aftermath of software updates and reinstalls. In essence it parses the UAD Console 'hidden' plugins list and syncs the plugins in that list at system level, i.e the directories scanned by the various hosts/daws (exception: Luna, which has its own way to organise UAD plugins). This means that the plugins management itself is entirely performed in the UAD Console, as a first step, before applying the syncing action using the 'UAD PlugIn Cleaner' app. It is as simple as it gets from a user's point of view, and there is no new interface to get familiar with! Usage Instructions: 1) after downloading, copy the utility to your hard drive, for example to the Universal Audio folder in Applications. 2) before running ‘UAD PlugIn Cleaner’, make sure that the various plugins’ SHOW/HIDE status in the UAD Console settings is as you want it to be. Quit Console to force it to update the plugins cache. 3) run ‘UAD PlugIn Cleaner’ and it will do the rest! Important: if this is the first time you run the app, you will need to control/right click it and choose 'open' in Finder’s contextual menu to be able to override Gatekeeper’s restrictions. I hope you find it useful, here it is: UAD PlugIn Cleaner drive.google.com/file/d/1ctcK-yS4aIX6T9L6Ysa8JMKzNJaEAxuw/view?usp=sharing (version 0.9.13) The current version should support any UAD Software release but was tested against 9.13 only. Let me know if you encounter any issues. Last edited by RogueM; 22 Hours Ago at 01:55 PM.”

It’s been up for weeks at UA forum, seems to work perfectly.
There’s a thread there, you can read through .

Dear All, I have created a companion application, called "UAD Plugin Mate 1.2", which keeps your UAD Plugins, nice and clean. It helps you to keep all Licensed UAD-Plugins and moves all "Demo/Unlicensed" plugins to a folder on your Desktop, which can be saved for future restoration or deleted, up to your choice. "UAD Plugin Mate" cleans up VST, AAX, and AU Plugins automatically. "UAD Plugin Mate" comes for Mac and Windows and is completely free. You can download it from my Studio Homepage: uadmate_mac.zip V1.2 for Mac and uadmate_win.zip V1.2 for Windows A Help Button was added to describe how to use the uAD-PluginMate properly. There is also a "Donate" button added to the app for all those who would like to support this project. To use it properly, you need to export the "SystemProfile.txt" from UAD-Control Panel. Just go to Control Panel's top-right corner and click on the menu icon, then choose "System Info" and then click on the button "Save Detailed System Profile" at the bottom of the window. Save the file to your desktop. When you open the "UAD Plugin Mate", it will automatically prompt you to find the file and loads the file from your desktop. Otherwise, you can click on the "Load SystemProfile.txt" button to do this manually. Then click on the "Clean up Plugins" button to remove all unlicensed Plugins and put them in a folder called "UAD Removed Plugins" on your desktop. By clicking on the Plug-in folder paths, you can change the folders, where your UAD plugins are installed. Please don't forget to choose 'Universal Audio' as the last folder in your path. Please note, that you have to "Save Detailed System Profile", every time you purchase a new Plugin or change your Licenses. You also have to run the application, every time you install an update of UAD Plugins. I highly appreciate your thoughts and comments. Enjoy!

I remove all the unused plugins from the plugin folders after installing each new UAD version
that accomplishes the same thing with just slightly more effort

"UAD Plugin Mate" does exactly this for you, however automatically and without any effort.

Just picked this up, too. Does it actually remove unused plugins? I didn't see that mentioned in the description. Very cool if it does.

Dear All,
a new version 1.3 of UAD-PluginMate is available for download. In this version, there are some fixes.
Enjoy!

Great that there is an app for this👍 But what is the problem with UA not to incorporate this option by now in the console to begin with, not to have to do this after every update. Just a simple hide function in the plugin list. The way it is now does not serve any user… just annoys absolutely everyone.

I did this with logic years ago, you can check/uncheck the validation in the plugin manager.

That just means logic doesn’t scan them,i think the ua tool removes plugs you don’t own and he updates the cleaner as UA adds new plugs?

I can edit which plugins show up in the list. Updates? I don't update a working system that often.

Not certain you are talking about ua plugs, this was about helping those who were frustrated with ua downloading all its plug ins, who wanted only those they owned on their machines.
