Not certain you are talking about ua plugs, this was about helping those who were frustrated with ua downloading all its plug ins, who wanted only those they owned on their machines. When I recently demoed a handful of UA native plugins, I were able to individually choose which plugins to download and install using UA connect. I don't think I were able to do that a couple of years ago. Maybe it's different for native & dsp based?

Yes, ua uses ua connect to manage its subscription plugs, (uadx) their delivery, authorities and install.
All Non native plugs are downloaded en masse when you update your ua authorities/os. Whenever you try to instantiate a ua uad2 plug you see them all, everytime, peeps get frustrated with this.
The cleaner lets you lose unpurchased plugs and tk retain the subset that you own. You now also have another folder in your daw with your uadx plugs

Ah, i didn't mean which were downloaded (they came as one big chunk/install file) but which plugins were finally shown by the DAW after sorting through them.

I understand.
I think you are describing what you do which works for you.
i am just saying that many ua users don’’t want the full download in their computer at all, so use cleaner to just get rid of all the un purchased plug ins.

I tried it. Wow - what a difference. I only have 32 UAD plugins, and now I only see those. I am not sure I want to buy any more UAD as there are so many better deals out there.

Their pricing is a mess right now, but if you wait for deals you can find some bundles which bring the prices quite in line with the marketplace. I just bought their Signature Edition for $150. I owned some of them, but got around 10 new products of instruments and plugins for basically around $15 each. The normal price for that bundle right now is $299, which for the full 35 or so products you get, it's around $8 each. That's crazy good for people wanting to try more.

Is there any bundle plan where the plugins can be picked out, rather than predetermined by the plan - like any 22 plugins for x dollars? My problem is that I have many of the good plugins that I see in some of these plans.

That deal was gone whrn I looked after you first posted: somethings not right? Here it is. I do think it's been taken down and put back up more than once. Something weird is happening. But people like me are getting the purchase. It took around 12 hours for me to get a code and have things available for download. I just sat patient as I know customer service is getting hit like crazy. I think it was good to go through Vintage King. vintageking.com/universal-audio-uad-signature-edition-bundle-crossgrade

There are some right now for Black Friday that are buy 3, get 6; buy 10, get 20; etc. Those are ones where you can pick and chose. And in all my years as a customer that was the best kind of deal you would find. Even though I owned the majority of what was in the Signature Edition, I decided it was still a good choice for me because of the price for the products I didn't have was really attractive. Like, way more attractive than any UAD deal has ever been. Sometimes you just have to ride with it and see what tools you like as you go.

For some reason I thought the Signature Edition and others were the ones because I was looking under "my offers." This helps.

So I checked Plug in discounts and its Signature deal is like $290, why would UA allow 2 such different prices at the same time ?
Not the end of the world but i just bought 22 plugs for $189, Signature is 44 for $150?

I reached out to Tony @ plugindiscounts about this ongoing ua plug in deal pricing inconsistency, he got right back to me asking fir a link.
I have had good dealings with him in the past, not certain there is much that can be done, but good that he cares!

He says UA told him Friday, it was a mistake ? , i told him its relisted now and live in my basket. UA needs to sort this out: really inconsistent from the client perspective .

So I’d check out if you can replace the duplets with chosen plugs. EDIT: as you will read ahead you will notice that i remembered wrong… so don’t get your hopes up at this point 😉

You are right, tried to search for it and found nothing. I have never tried it myself, but for some reason it was in the back of my head since I remember reading about it on some forum long time ago. But most likely it has been about some exception where someone might have got compensated when buying two licenses or something... no idea.
