Attachment DeletedA beautiful day out on the deck overlooking the bay in Clearwater Florida, deserves a nice beautiful Winter Abbey Ale from Belgium... This particular one is a Tripel, made by the Monks of Abbey Du Val-Dieu for hundreds of years!

Enjoyed a Warsteiner Dunkel myself last night. And an old fashioned with JTS Brown Bottled in Bond.

Attachment DeletedAnd this afternoon, another beautiful, albeit chilly day here in Clearwater. Going with that, I believe I will pop the top on another wonderful Winter Ale. Samiclaus, which for all intents and purposes is a Barley Wine or as they put it a "triplebock" 14% ABV Like they used t say in my old neighborhood, "now d'is is a beautiful ting"

Attachment DeletedConsidered to be one of the best Belgian Beers in the world. I give you St. Bernardus ABT. 12 A beautiful Belgian Quad, made by monks for hundreds of years. What can I say, other then this is the one beer that never gets swapped out at my private little pub. Always on tap back home. While I'm away, bottles will have to do. 10%ABV... A few of these, and you might find yourself entering the Priory!

Time to begin the holiday celebration!
Tonight we drink Yuu Baal Mezcal Artesanal shots with a dash of lime and Agave nectar.
Bottle specifies that 7 year old Agave Augustifolia was harvested with “machete”

Didn't even know you could still get it!

More available this time of year from specific importers. Been a bit more difficult to purchase kegs, especially since covid hit.

Belle Meade Reserve for Christmas. Yum. Anyone had any other Nelson Bros work? Local distillery. Belle Meade mansion vineyards rebrands. Not sure if it's a unique product for them, or just their Nelson Bros Reserve with a different label. Either way. Best bourbon I've ever had. I think I'm gonna go get their self branded version and compare.

I liked Greenbrier for a decent above average well for cocktails, until the price went up. They seem to source decent MGP and make some decent stuff themselves.

Edit - well, maybe I've only had the regular Belle Meade. You had their Greenbriar TN Whiskey? I'm not a big TNW fan, but that was really pretty damn good for like a $35 bottle.

I wont say its better... but definitely different. Yeah, same, Im pushing 150-175 bottles any given time. Trying to widdle it down. Ha! depending on which 'Scene' of the act you get, they are more or less port forward, as they reuse the barrels. Mine is Act 11 Scene 2... I feel like the port finish is present but balanced well. Incredible mouthfeel.
