Hmm. Did I miss something? Seemed kinda benign to me. There's a sense of 'all the great new mics from Warm Audio' or 'all the great new mics COME from Warm Audio' or even . . . Ok, boomers, we've got Warm Audio mics now. Maybe it's just me. There are a few users around the swamp who've been at our profession as a hobby for about a year or so now, and know everything. Clearly they're smarter than I because it's close to 40 years for me and I learn new things every day. |

That thread is totally innocuous. Dude asking about Warm mics, some people saying they’re great, some people saying they’re underwhelming, people suggesting AT and Advanced Audio, people suggesting having Chad mod them. What‘s the problem?
Rhetorical question of course. I know the OP won’t see it because they've got me blocked, but I don’t get what the alleged deal is with that thread. There are so many off-the-rails ones over there. Other than the usual anti-Warm thing, I don’t see why anyone would pick this one as an example.

Let's start a thread showing some of the stuff over at the swamp that really makes our eyes roll back in our heads. Ward - if that gets you worked up, I'd suggest not visiting. Or maybe hit up some surfing or dirt bike forums. You'll have a WAY fresh perspective when you return to audio forum life.  |

That's true . . .last time I spent any time with Shannon, that's all we talked about and how our paths had crossed back in the day as I was avid into it also. It's amazing the similarities many of us in the "Look ma, no computers!" generation had. |

Other than doing my typical blabbing,
on that Warm Thread...
Recently, I got into "Mini-Trouble" at GS (different Thread) when I had the Audacity to dare...
Bring up the new Upton 251, and John K's name/singing on it-At the SAME TIME!!
The nerve of me, to bring up a great mic and a great voice-At the SAME TIME.
Kinda like when Oliver Twist asks for "More", at the Children's Workhouse.
I thought maybe I'd get shipped off to Botany Bay.
Or worse the Hollywood Guitar Center.
