I'm waiting on a buddy of mine to go put eyes and ears on this 660. He's a great friend but not moving fast enough for me. I haven't slept thru the nite since last Thursday. I hope he can go there today so I can move on, one way or the other. Sadly I am not at all gear addicted Is something wrong with me? Though it should be stated my favorite records were all made on lofi gear. Mike Hi Mike, I'm Sal. The first step is admitting you have a problem...

I was gonna link "Pusher Man" by Curtis Mayfield...went and tried to sign up for a "Soundtracking" account...Somehow it posted my password as my Profile name...then I realized it was connected to Spotify which is a band of fucking thieves...so now I'm pissed off...
So - {Place cool Curtis Mayfield reference here}

On second thought, I don't really 'hate' my day job, let's say it's not what I'm passionate about. After all, it pays for all the rest and that's a great thing, innit? Some would say you've got a great situation... being able to be creative and selective about what you do musically. I work professionally in music, and would say I enjoy 85% of the music that comes my way...which is quite high for an independent producer/engineer. Occasionally, I just gotta "do my best" with what's given... feels like being handed a few loaves and fish...but I ain't a miracle worker Yes, I think it's a good situation. However, as you grow older, you get this feeling that you're wasting a lot of your precious time just to earn the money to live out your passion during what is left of the day. Instead of spending 8 hours at work, I could do something useful in the studio, except, I probably wouldn't have one But I worked professionally as a songwriter/lyricist in the 1980s, sold a bunch of records that none of you would know, well maybe one, and the impression that the music industry made on me in those days was not a good one. Not sure if I could have coped with some of those douchebags for the rest of my life.

Three times today I almost bought a piece of gear. Thank god for that X button that just closes out the window. I am not sure how much longer I can go on.

Hi my name is Jordan. My problem started when I was 15 and got an Alto 8 channel mixer, a set of Apex drum mics and a 460. I briefly went went to the analog world with a rascal audio tonebuss and a nice hardware mixbuss compressor but eventually sold those pieces. I didn't buy my first car until 8 months ago because I was making gear payments and have no spent way too much money on gear. I'm starting the Capi builds soon and am wondering how much one of my kidneys is worth.

I'm starting the Capi builds soon and am wondering how much one of my kidneys is worth. You're not the first person to think along those lines! Speaking of which, my U48 purchase has been canceled thanks to surgery...elective, cosmetic, but as I don't have infinite resources, sometimes (please, I know, I'm already shedding tears about it) GAS has to take a backseat!!

It's called Quintiles. I am signing off now to fill out an application. I'll check on the going rate for kidneys.

As you all can tell, I'm going through a major bout with the old G right now...Just sold my Sta-Level (which, of course, I'm feeling some regret) and have my Focals and HD-28 for sale to feed the beast. The Pro Acs and Emotiva TOTALLY solved my gas...for about 24 hours.

I think I migh want something a little less colored with the same transparent gain reduction. Which might be the 176. Or the Brute. Honestly, with running through a dula tranny or big tranny pre, the Missing Links on the way in, then sta-level, then back through the ML's on 2 bus, it was too much color. Or maybe I should say, I could find myself living without it.

Would have bought it in a NY minute. Oh well, the gear gods are conspiring to give me pause. For the first time in years, I have buyer's block. It is a terrible thing, not being able to pull the trigger.
