Sweet! When I mentioned that this was the one to beat on one of the other NeveComp threads there were definitely detractors. I think Heritage has proven themselves the one to beat with this comp. The vocals on that video were extremely impressive - the ability to control without getting heavy handed was impressive.

all stepped controls, 1u, and a true stereo unit with parallel is what had me.

I really see no downsides. Great price, great classic inspired sound, modern flexibility with wet dry built in. This is the one.

Loved the sound, just wish it had a dual mono option!

Great sounding Neve style in one stereo package. Great with the Stam 1073 combo. Got a demo unit for just over $1300.

$2500 cdn : it better be friggin awesome for that much dough. Considering the cost of other several other stereo comps, it's priced well. $4000 for a Neve 33609. $4400 for a Manley Vari Mu. $2200 for the SSL G comp.
The successor is $1499.
It's more in the range of the Audio Scape D-Comp. Great deals.
The question is whether or not they charge more cdn than the other companies comparatively

Seen a few pop up used for 1100ish. Probably wait for a deal like that

Yeah, should be about 2 grand. For some reason it’s a couple hundred or so more. Plus taxes. KT stuff is like that too, for some reason a chunk more change than just the difference in currency. Dunno if all Heritage stuff is priced that way up here. There may be reasons, but I don’t know what they would be. Cheers, Geoff

Will add that in the bits I listened to I thought it was very good sounding, flexible. Kinda want, but I’ve bought two compressors in the last month, so ....

When we buy from the states we actually pay shipping, hidden handling fees, currency exchange, a brokerage fee and provincial and federal taxes plus fees from the bank and Paypal, so all in our Cdn price is easily at least 30 % higher. Our retail prices reflect all this except you wonder wouldn’t a major cdn retailer get price breaks throughout the supply chain and possible pass those to consumer ?
Or if you have a CRA business number and live near a border, you can import yourself and pay about 6% duties vs 14-15% and no hidden and brokerage fees.
You can get a Myusaddress and ship to there. They can broker and ship to you for a fee or, if you are close, drive and pick it up and import it yourself: a little time and gas but still cheaper!
Back to groovy heritage neve clone comp !

Sounds pretty awesome. Really liked it on drums a lot. However, I wonder about that 50 microsecond setting. It seems to me like you can still hear a little bit of transient coming through, and at 50 microsecond it should catch everything like an 1176, I would think.
