Sounds pretty awesome. Really liked it on drums a lot. However, I wonder about that 50 microsecond setting. It seems to me like you can still hear a little bit of transient coming through, and at 50 microsecond it should catch everything like an 1176, I would think. My guess is that this is due to the diode bridge design vs FET design (of the 1176). But, I bet someone more technical than I am will be able to answer that question. |

Not that it really matters as long as these sound good and the clips sounded damn good to me, but are these clones of the 33609 or (3)2254/64? None of which I’ve ever piloted. Or they kinda their own take?

Since other options are tremendously overpriced and/or never coming…this thing has really caught my eye. Anyone have more experience with this? What’s the difference in this and a 33609? I see they have an HA-609 too - so how are they different?

I found it added transparency somehow but at the same time was a little noisy which wasn’t a factor for getting rid of it. I like noise. No, I sold it because of the space the rack took up and also the patchbay I was using gave me anxiety so I went ITB. |
