That's one of the better video's I've seen, and it sells me even harder. Forget waiting for black friday. LOL

Just wondering are we grooving on the same things ?
as I listen to this, I am thinking very versatile, certainly different amp sounds and textures ? For me as a guitar based singer songwriter sort, this seem sleek a really good tool.
Plus you can load other IR's into it
They also make a pedal foot controller for it.
Is it just me, it seems like a lot capacity for the price ?

Is it just me, it seems like a lot capacity for the price ? I "think" that this has the capacity to potentially be good enough to end up as the final sound on tracks in a song. I'm holding out judgement until I get one to try out myself. But from what I've heard so far, I think they sound great, and the user friendly interface is awesome. What I do feel the Iridium is likely to be guaranteed to be great at, at the very least, is providing a platform for quality scratch tracks during tracking, and with no bleed issues to contend with, even if you ultimately decided to reamp those tracks later. Add in the stupid simple interface, a great choice of amp and cab options (without giving you a million choices), and all of that at that price? I'm pretty much very near to being sold. I only have one iso/vocal booth, so two or three Iridiums could essentially eliminate bleed issues while tracking a guitar-based live band. I have the Deco and El Capistan, and I think they're great. The Iridium seems very promising. I've been waiting for something like this for quite a while.

At $600-$700 I’d just as well spend $999 for the FM3

I think the main downfall is not having an FX loop for time-based FX, but I have never owned an amp with that, so my delays and reverbs have always gone before the amp anyway.
I've been trying to resear FRFR speaker options and that seems like a much deeper rabbit hole that could make this way more expensive, should you want to play out with your new wealth of amp sounds.

+ 14% tax and you have hit $600 and change ?
In the video above, in the clips that say Klemper but he was changing settings on the iridium and seems to have foot switches too? Other than the text, I was unclear about signal flow ?

+ 14% tax and you have hit $600 and change ? Well yeah. Taxes. But the base price is pretty much just adjusted for the difference in the dollars. KT stuff though is much spendier here than in the US. Much more than just the difference in the dollars. That I don’t understand. Cheers, Geoff

Hey Geof, ya I have a Myusaddress too and mostly import stuff myself which on more expensive stuff does save but takes 3-4 hours of time driving ,border paperwork.
I am trying to minimize trips to US as the Border people are just getting wierd giving Canadians lifetime bans essentially arbitrarily: sad and wierd time’s between old friends unfortunately.

Also quite interested in this.
The somewhat limited feature set could be a bonus. Wish it could be used to drive an amp though.
I m looking at everything from the Ox, the Fryette boxes, even the Mooer stuff for low to silent practice and recording.
This thing does the three most desired amp types I’d want though, with the possible exception of a smallish tweed or Valco/Supro type tone. An Ampeg Svt for bass would’ve been nice too, but maybe they’ll do a bass box down the road. But none of the videos has completely blown me away.
First hand reports welcome!
Cheers, Geoff

But none of the videos has completely blown me away. Cheers, Geoff Your standards must be incredibly high. These sound just as good as an amp in a room to me. Me not being in that room obviously could change things, but from what I'm hearing on videos, I hear no difference.

It’s impressive but close to $600 cdn . I can get a new Marshall Origin 20 watt combo for around $900. Hmmmm. Get the head or plan or replacing the onboard speaker. There are many complaints about the shrillness of the combo. Anyway, back to the Iridium.

Maybe, oddly with it and the dsl line, I am really liking the clean channel:)
It’s a 10 so maybe peeps were expecting a bigger sound?
Anyway, I’ll demo carefully thx!
I have an iridium coming in too, same store/day, so I’ll be checking them both out carefully.
Unless, I really don’t like iridium ,I’ll likely bring it home for a real try out, csn always return and get amp with store credit.

In one of the vids it mentions it should not be used in front of an amp. But that it can be used into the return of an effects loop. Which most of my amps don’t have. Those that have one of these please correct me if I’m wrong. I’d love to be wrong about this. Cheers, Geoff

Some of the settings and playing sounds good to me. Maybe if I ignore the ones where maybe I just don’t like how they have it set? Trying to keep an open mind. Cheers, Geoff
