I randomly came across this VI for Kontakt last night. A collection of programmable aux percussion that seems relatively easy to use and easy to set up different rhythms. Obviously not that big a deal to set up a mic and record a tambo, but I ended up picking up the core and expansion package up on sale for less than a hundred. It will make my life a little easier, and if nothing else, it will be a good inspirational songwriting tool. Also, you can use it as a click, which will make for more inspired performances.
I thought it was cool enough to mention and put money toward.

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I like how quickly you can cycle through different shakers, etc..

Glad you posted this! Had forgotten about it. Strangely after seeing it here it was in my Facebook feed...hmmm That happens to me all the time. In some ways it’s convenient, but it’s also creepy. It’s all algorithms, but still...

Thanks to the last election I retired from “the facebook”. Speaking of all the creepiness, Mr. Tesla (Musk?) is very concerned about us feeding the online AI, that its not gonna end well. If the robots enjoy art will be the only reason they’ll keep us around.. derailed tambourines with AI taking over (facepalm). I will say this looks like a very well done plugin.

Wife brought the Google devil into the house with one of those stupid Alexa bullshit things—now, we will discuss something about kitchen cleaning and I’ll get an email from Amazon offering up swiffer wet and various mops and kitchen/bath cleaning products.
Google and Facebook can both take a running jump.

Not saying Tesla is correct, he did make battery cars cool. He’s developing tech that he says will move us closer to cyborgs. He thinks were cyborgs now utilizing the phone and he’s developing tech to “connect us more efficiently” and that its not that far away time wise. Sorry, back to tambourines.

Doesn’t seem to be as on sale now,$100 for base package plus ? Still showing $94.99 for the core and expansion package. In Session Audio. Installed it yesterday and used it for a bit. Sounds great and makes a really great click.

Have they included the excellent handclaps from The Cars' My Best Friend's Girl, the classic Queen finger snaps, claps and stomps? Cos those would be awesome to have . . .

I can't get this thing to trigger from a midi note. I can play the pattern (F1) and hear sound, but it won't play after recrding that note. Other instruments trigger that not in Kontakt...SSS just not playing anything. Anyone?

This thing looks really cool. But man, that guy in the first two videos is using a lot of reverb. I'm guessing that's not baked into the sounds? It looks like he's cranked up the reverb in Kontakt, maybe?
I'm also not hearing much body in the samples in the videos. But in the acoustic guitar example toward the end of the third video, the guitars sound pretty thin to me also, so I'm wondering if it's just the way he's got everything EQ'd?
Any thoughts from those of you who have it?

I also found the guys from In Session Audio very responsive to my email for help, replying on a Sunday.

Yes - the guy actually called me considering they’re local in Nashville. It turned out to be my keyboard being set to more than one zone so it was sending double midi notes and canceling out.

All right, I just bought the thing. Lifelike-sounding shakers and tambourines are hard to come by, IME. Even just creating better click tracks would probably make it worth it to me.
