I got sick of hearing everyone talk about this mic h47tube with k47 capsule so i had to go and put a deposit down to get my own. 3 - 4 x weeks to go apparently. Now i have a few weeks to sell something to pay for it. Cranesong STC-8 anyone?

Officially joined the H47tube club (HM7 capsule) a few weeks ago—loving it on vocals.

Officially joined the H47tube club (HM7 capsule) a few weeks ago—loving it on vocals. Fantastic! I would love to hear an example of your using it: sung or spoken vocals, ensembles, stringed instruments, wind instruments etc. Mine stays set-up in the vocal booth almost all the time and gets used every other day.

Having heard a ton of clips lately of the H47 Tube with both the K47 and M7 heads I really do hope they tackle an M49. I’d love to hear what they come up with. Very curious to hear more of their FET 47 offering too.

Actually, hearing clips from both yourself and Johnkenn helped me decide on the M7 capsule option. Here's a (mostly) raw snippet of vocals and acoustic guitar through the H47t. Preamp for both is a BAE 1073MPF, with HPF set to 50hz for guitar and 80hz for vocals. There's a small amount of ITB compression to made it sound slightly less naked, but no de-essing or EQ. https%3A//soundcloud.com/zonkola/h47tube-example

Sounds very nice - enough esses there to trip up a sibilance prone mic but no hint of that at all. Great performance too; thank you. Cheers, Ross.

Heiserman? tskguy? wave? Great snippet to put up on the samples page, if it would be ok with zonkola. The only advice I would proffer, using the M7 capsule, if to angle the mic back (so that the body is closer to you than the headbasket) to help remove a little sibilance. But it is VERY slight . . . so that's just the pickiness in me. Congrats again, pal!!

This is a sketch—for the final recording of this cover I'll add a Gefell UMT70s in figure 8 for some mid/side stereo guitar goodness. Thanks also for the mic positioning tip; I was thinking I'd need to add a de-esser to tame the sibilance, but I'll definitely give this a shot first.
