So cool that you won what is no doubt a great mic, John. I look forward to the next model announced. Love the fact that the bodies are really gutsy and not cheap metal. For any new release may I suggest you guys keep that quality of the body and also make sure any shock mounts actually grasp the mic with a threaded ring a la Neumann / Gefell etc so the mic can be operated upside down with confidence. The fact that many knock offs use crap bodies and shock mounts that are hard to use as well as unreliable is an Achilles heel IMO. Haven't used the Heisermann mic but my experience with their Stam sa87 cap and the apparent body metal qualty leads me to speculate that short of the real thing I'd be surprised if anyone does it better. Cheers, Ross Thanks for the vote of confidence! We do feel like our mic compares favorably to virtually anything on the market both from a sound and build quality perspective. Making everything in the US gives us a level of oversight and quality control that you don't get with most mic companies. Regarding the shock mounts, our H47 Tube will be a clamp style, much like the original U47 and the current Telefunken. It's a tried and true design for this mic, so I wouldn't have any hesitation operating the mic upside down. My Pearlman TM-1s were hand built in LA. A friend of mine down there knows Dave Pearlman. The mics are great. The shock mounts, OTOH, leave a bit to be desired.

It's getting very close to February - do we have a shipping date?
I'm like a little kid, shuffling from one foot to the other.....

And my "professional" opinion is...
Dude, you guys rock! Happy to say your H47 (FET) was absolutely exceptional for my voice yesterday. Fuller(!) than even the Neumann U47 FET RI, you had to compare-sitting "next door". The H47 tube is also a beautiful sounding microphone. As you indicated, a M7 style capsule would be even better suited to my (very bright) voice vs. the K47 style.
Thanks Heiserman "gang" for making my visit (and my buddy Don's) more than worthwhile! Chris

Maybe it was mentioned and I didn’t see it but does this have the same Hypercardioidish pattern as the original? They look beautiful.

Thanks for the kind remarks! And yes it’s hypercardioid — same as the 47 Fet.

What is the price/availability on the new H47 Tube mic? We don't have a firm date on the H47 Tube yet -- right now we're focused on shipping the H47 fet , and finalizing some details on the Tube. If I had to give an estimate, we hope to start taking orders by the end of February and ship in April/May time frame.

Good to know... I think I'm gonna start a thread about what mic we should make next You should. Basically you can’t go wrong with the big tube legends; 47, 49, 67, 251, 12. The big FET workhorses aren’t bad ideas either; 87, 414, etc. Other’s may enjoy an 800 or 269 as well. There are options for most of these on the market right now though. The 67 is really in vogue right now, especially with the reissue being a dad lacking in the low end in comparison to the older vintage 67s. If you can come up with some SDC options like the 84, that would work. No one is really doing the KM56 or KM54. Something tells me those would do really well if done right. I know you don’t make those capsules, but it’s worth the mention.

IMO, the KM5x series are going to take an AC701 to do them right. There's magic in those tubes....

Hey guys. Just a heads up that the H47 FET microphone's preorder price, ends 2/28/19. I'm "good" with vocal microphones (for now!). But this one does sound terrific. Chris

Last day of the H47 pre-order! Get 'em while they're hot!! The pre-order price is $1,199, and tomorrow (March 1st) the price increases to $1,499. To reserve one, it's a $350 deposit, and then the balance is due at the time of shipment.

I think I might like my matched pair of Heiserman tube 47s even more than my matched pair (reddy and bluey) of Heiserman 47FETs
Just kidding . . . I'm waiting too!!

Any more samples of this guy next to a Neumann U47 FET? On vocals maybe? Also, curious if anyone has tried it next to the UT 47 FET.
