Dave Bock is the moderator of the mic forum on Terry Manning's site, PRW. Yes he his, but for a possible purchase / price quote always best to do it in private. I was thinking in terms of asking about the pinout.

Ragan, I can't wait to hear what you think of that mic. Yeah I'm intrigued. I wasn't really in the market but it seemed like a cool opportunity to try a good 47 style mic. Been awhile.

I can't remember when I told you over on GS that given your mic locker I was surprised you didn't currently own some sort of 47 variant. I'm also surprised it took you this long to rectify the situation. :-) Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I demo’d the WA-47 too. Just haven’t found The One in that style. Plus I like my MK-67 so much that I don’t jones like I used to for other LDCs. We’ll see. If I can get the cable sorted out that is.

251 Bock Mic Cord (464 KB) I really like Bock mics. A little pricey, but I never had an issue with getting an amazing sound with a Bock.

Any update on the 47? I almost pulled the trigger on that mic (great deal!). I can’t get any response from Soundelux/Bock. They even have a phone number for support of older mics. I’ve left like 4 voicemail messages over a week or so but no response. Also no response fro regular Soundelux support.

just open up the mike !!!! I still need to verify what connector this is. It's a unique, small threaded thing. Maybe Binder, as has been suggested? I want to know though before spending money on a mic I may not keep.

Bock Mic Cable Connectors (333.66 KB) I can't believe David Bock hasn't got back with you yet. It's Gotham cable. It also reads 20101(640) GAC 7 Tube on the cable. I don't see any other writing anywhere on the cable, so I do not know what brand or type the threaded connectors are. One is threaded on the inside and the other has threads on the outside of the connector. The male end(Threaded outside) goes into the power supply and the female end(Threaded inside) goes into the microphone.

I'm going to flip, and say Tuchel connector..... Why? Because the Google comes up with this: www.marquetteaudiolabs.com/product_soundelux_e251c.htmland it says it comes with a Tuchel cable... I know it's a 251, and not the E47, but I'm going with the manufacturer staying consistent with the connector brand. =)

Thanks you guys for going above and beyond to help my odd, impulse purchase cable situation!
I can't imagine they'd muck around with almost the exact same connector between models but not quite.

Brad Lunde got back to me (thanks ericn for that suggestion) and pointed out that the Soundelux stuff appears to live over at the Bock website now. There's still a Soundelux website though and that's the contact info I'd been using. It even has a separate number for support/info on older mics. So I've been emailing and calling via those contacts. The Bock site has different contact info and I'll be reaching out to them in the morning. If the cable's crazy expensive, I'll make one up or have Redco do it.

Talked to Bock. It’s a Binder connector. $250 for replacement, ouch! Also said shockmount is likely another $250 (haven’t emailed the exact quote yet). Those are some comical prices.
I’ll only go that route if GC is footing the bill.
I also called Redco, waiting to hear back.
I don’t know much about Binder connectors. They standardized or are there sizes?

I’d take pics of the mike end and psu end and contact mouser.
The cable connectors I bought when I made a 2nd 7 pin cable for my mk-u47 were 10’s of dollars.

If I return it, they’ll just have to deal with it themselves anyway.
