I know quite a few were going out, but have no clue who gets there's when.
I need more time with it, but even from the 15 minutes I spent with it so far I can tell it's the real deal, not a mic that uses the cachet of the model number but doesn't sound much like the real thing. This sounds right, zero sibilance and it takes a hard hit without pinching.
In the next 3-4 weeks, I'll do some tests and compare it to some vintage 67's, but regardless of exactly how close it is, it'll stand on its own as a fine mic.
As with all mics, finding your perfect match is personal, but no one will be disappointed if you plan to use this as a main mic for your studio.

My SA67 arrived today and it looks great! I will record a session with it Thursday night and hopefully Saturday. REALLY looking forward to using this mic in everything.
It came in a nice flight case with a power supply, cable, shock mount, and a vinyl mic bag.

Dang spellchecker comes up with some weird shit when you're not looking. It turned jakeboy into a jukebox. Coulda been worse I suppose..

My SA-67s just arrived. 4 days from Chile to Connecticut. DHL provides great service. I won't have time to fire them up tonight as I have a gig to get to but will report back soon. Attachments:

I did a voice over with a female voice on Thursday. It was a guided meditation that lasts 20 minutes, and the voice over was great, zero added sibilance, nice and quiet. It definitely likes female voices.

I just did some quick drum tracking and these mics sound REALLY good! The only other Neumanns I can compare them to would be my U87s (1980) when they return from the shop. Not the same mic, of course, but they are Neumanns. I also had the opportunity to test a Neumann U67 reissue a few months ago. I can tell from memory that the SA-67s sound very Neumannesque. Big bottom end, handles the cymbals crashes like butter.
I'll let them warm up and give another go.

Glad you're digging them drumhead. The 87 will probably be a little louder, so be sure to level match when comparing.

I used mine to track cleanish guitar through a Blonde Bassman, fuzzed Out guitar through a tweed Champ, and my vocals...so far so good, I love this mic. It somehow smooths out my nasally voice.
I will track some vocals this weekend for some originals.

I did a quick and dirty vocal today on a finished song I did for a Christmas album. This was so we can get an idea how the SA67 sounds compared to the wonderful Chandler REDD mic. Now don't forget, this is months later, a different take, and my voice has been through some bad times lately. I matched levels and basic settings as best I could on my headphones, (I'm waiting to get some new monitors). I also haven't had much time to dial the SA67 in perfectly and get used to it. So far, it likes a little more proximity than the Chandler, which likes a lot of distance.
I might have mixed the SA67 a bit hotter than I might've if I had my monitors, but it's close enough to get a general idea. I think the SA67 held it own, and with some time setting perfect preamp settings, placement and EQ it should be seriously good. It's beginning to remind me of the Neumann U67.
