I'm always amazed at what competition can bring to the marketplace, and what no competition does to my epipen.

Do any of the other 3rd party plug websites have the bundle cheaper? I know it's a great price but I don't use the whole bundle and UAD will let you select individual SSL style plugs even though they are pricier. An SSL mk2 for UAD would be bananas just like an la3a mk2

The Waves SSL is a great bundle and I would still use mine. But they want a second time WUP thats overall 400$ and the bundle was original about 900 $. They treat loyal customers like shit.
If someone wants to trade the SSL bundle with me send me a PM.
If the whole bundle comes near the WUP price .... they must have lost their minds. Waves never again I am done with such business model's.
If I see how Slate treats me as a customer. I just can say.... WOW.... cool service, no stupid restrictions, no idiots in a cold-line.
No plug in in the world can be that good that Waves treats me like this.

Whatever the price rings in at, there is a cap of $300/year. "One year of Waves Update Plan coverage is capped at $300 for all non-overlapping products." Anyway, log onto the site and get a WUP quote!

Sorry I am done with Waves...this is just stupid, the new plugs are nearly the same as the WUP price....they lost thier minds, pure greed. I am happy to be Waves free.....

Audiodeluxe.com You should look into the WUP cost for what you have with Waves now. I bet the price will be cheaper than normal because of the sale. I don't have account at Audio deluxe so I saw 249 and didn't make an account.. Yes it's plugin discounts or maybe plugin boutique I have to check πππ It's way more than that ($300) + ($200) for some limiter or something not included in the bundle. I'm 32 bit Version 8 dot something from mid to late 2011... Plus I don't need all those miscellaneous plugs. I use the renaissance bundle, L1, API 2500, h delay, ssl bundle, and I like the cla vocals and effects but don't need them. The v series is ok and the h comp is nice with the punch feature but ya it's really old version from snow leopard days πππ...

Mine is $300... For nothing but compatibility (64 bit ) and I don't get anything new besides a reverb that I don't want. I like d verb and r verb and my UAD plate plus am looking at getting Valhalla or maybe another one of you guys recommends if I really need another! The $39/ $49 API 2500 and this $180 just set me free. Well really my better half spent $100 on me for Valentines ππ so I am good now π€π€π€
I went all out for her π€I had to b/c I didn't do Xmas for her the way I should have. I was stretched to the max and due to us having split and remarried families on all sides holiday scheduling is crazy and I was behind on mix deadlines tryna earn $. I felt so bad I never ordered the plugins she wanted to get me π Used a visa gift card for the Sonnox V2 limited which I haven't used cuz I needed these SSL waves to go 64 bit....

Anyway, log onto the site and get a WUP quote! Is computing going to go to 128 bit? I don't see why I would need to pay anything else WUP wise for a long time... If I get a new machine I just clone my HD/ SSD and I'm good... I use the same OS X when stable so even if the charge WUP for new OS X, that still won't affect me. Plus I am printing everything from here on out ( have been for 2 + years ) It's old sessions I had that were a muck and the $580 ( ssl bundle web cost ) was too much, $80 def worth it to not have to go back and print 50-100 sessions which doesn't include beats demos and other artists old sessions I worked on...

I can understand why you say that, however I paid $181, of which my better half paid $100 of, so it was way cheaper for me this way. Even with her hundred I didn't think the $300 is fair and that still leaves me more wup on other plugs not in that bundle. I only used 20 % of that plugin bundle anyway, paying like a fool for stuff I did not need or use and don't want to do that again.. I did that already when I first bought it πPlus ( to my knowledge ) I cannot sell or trade individual licenses out of the waves bundles unless I am mistaken.

This is all new to me π©π€¦ββοΈNever wup b4... I really read and thought the $300 was only Diamond because I also had other plugs not in the diamond bundle and according to waves would need those upgraded too. How would my wup for diamond bundle upgrade plugins not included in that bundle? I know you don't work for waves so you don't have to answer. Ughhh πππ I am even more confused now and kinda feel duped and dumb π€¦ββοΈ obviously this is a major reason for people not liking Waves wup and their policies and I guess I now fall in that category too...

Well, as it turns out, Fuck Waves. I guess I don't understand what the hell this $300 cap means. I just checked my account and would owe over $300. $120 just to renew the CLA compressors that I originally paid $120 for. I understand that they must have had to do a bunch of work going from 32-64 bit and stuff. I can understand that they had to charge to cover the costs of the upgrade. But, when I see the $300 cap for the upgrade cost and my plugs are going to cost more, fuck that noise. I don't care how long they're extending the coverage, this is the type of upgrade that should be once every 5-10 years.

I'm no fan of WUP (it's outdated and overpriced) but I get the feeling from reading these threads that people do not understand when/if you have to pay. You ONLY have to WUP to get a NEW version. So, in Jcoutu1's case ALL of these are already the latest version. Unless he upgrades to a new system you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY. You will be able to install these versions FOREVER without paying them one penny. The only time you would need to WUP would be if Waves came out with a major upgrade that you needed (ie a Waves 10) or you own a bundle like Mercury where they add plugins to it. Other than that you do not have to pay them. As for the cost. You HAVE to click the "I hereby confirm that I run all products on one machine at a time." checkbox right above the list of plugins and your price should be capped at $300 (mine is $688.90 if I don't click it, $300 if I do) also if for some reason you needed to pay WUP you can buy it through AudioDeluxe, Waves Universe, etc. and they will give it to you for a better price... and you get a voucher to spend on waves (*HUGE restrictions apply though so it's also BS) I'm aware that I don't need to WUP, just wanted too show the info for chase and Holmes. Then I get there and it looks like the cap is out the window. I'll try checking the box to see what happens.
