I know when I have to pay WUP....with every major OS update Waves wants some fresh cash. Sorry dudes I wont pay again for a bundle I paid 900 € new in 2005.
Last WUP was 200 $ The new WUP is 150$
Thats makes abaout 1230 € for a single Waves SSL Bundle?
They wont get a single cent from me... WUP sucks and the bundle now stays unused in the Waves accout.
I am happy to be Waves free in the future. There are other, cheaper, options to get the SSL vibe in the box.
PS. Btw if you write them and you tell them that you want to sell the licence to someone else. Guess what. That cost you a fee of 150$

Ya my diamond alone was $300 plus another $200 for the others. This is all new to me and the way superwack explained it regarding Waves version numbers is how I understood the process. I guess since I was on the same version of everything for so long I never had to wup til now. jcoutu1 thank you for your help and taking the time to get to the bottom of it. I have to say I'm with you on the fuck waves bandwagon... printing is engrained in me now anyway but seeing everyone get double and triple charged for plugs we supposedly own is ridiculous. I will not be buying any more Waves from here on out.. Abbey road plates was calling my name but not anymore... good job waves this face palm is for you 🤦♂️

I replaced the SSL Bundle with SLATE and Native...

I'm no fan of WUP (it's outdated and overpriced) but I get the feeling from reading these threads that people do not understand when/if you have to pay. You ONLY have to WUP to get a NEW version. So, in Jcoutu1's case ALL of these are already the latest version. Unless he upgrades to a new system you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY. You will be able to install these versions FOREVER without paying them one penny. The only time you would need to WUP would be if Waves came out with a major upgrade that you needed (ie a Waves 10) or you own a bundle like Mercury where they add plugins to it. Other than that you do not have to pay them. As for the cost. You HAVE to click the "I hereby confirm that I run all products on one machine at a time." checkbox right above the list of plugins and your price should be capped at $300 (mine is $688.90 if I don't click it, $300 if I do) also if for some reason you needed to pay WUP you can buy it through AudioDeluxe, Waves Universe, etc. and they will give it to you for a better price... and you get a voucher to spend on waves (*HUGE restrictions apply though so it's also BS) @superwack nailed it. When I check that box, it allows me to WUP the whole lot for the $300 max. I don't need to WUP, since everything is current and working like a top, but if a serious change happens, I should be locked into the $300 upgrade. Seems fair enough. Still hesitant for the SSL pack, but would at least consider it again.
