I'm pretty sure I read that there is a shipment of SA2A's going out real soon (this week or next?) and then the 4000 will be shipping. I was originally told April or May for the 4000.
How many RGOers will have SA2A's and 4000's? I'll be interested to hear people's thoughts comparing the same gear.

I have one of each on order Cheers Wiz Me too and I know Ward already has the SA2A and a 4000 coming. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on both of these. The SA2A vs. your other LA2A clone and the 4000 on the 2 bus. If I remember correctly your not a 2 bus comp guy? Me either normally, just on occasion. Let's see what all the fuss is about.

Thats right I am not a two buss guy.. I used to own a TK Audio BC1, I never got on with it... Because I am now CONSOLE GUY!!! (imagine that had big echo on it... 8) ) I thought I would give it a try... its price was too good to go passed (SA4000). I also want to try it on overheads. cheers Wiz

Hello Guys,
I am bit busy these days. The SA-2A second batch start shipping next week!
The SA-4000 will be shipping in late May provided everything goes well with the shipment of parts.
There is a video of the SA-4000 in action:
Cheers!

How would one go about setting this up to use on the 2 bus with the UAD Apollo?

Logic X.

well you have to send the stereo mix out to it ( like any onboard) and then bring its output back to the apollo line 5-8 and re record so you haven another round of apollo conversion.

You could just send all your tracks to a Master Aux and do a hardware insert and print it to a print track.

Hmm, that sounds cool. I've never done anything like that, so I'll have to try a hardware insert of some kind soon, just for fun. I have some other more pressing issues, like since the new Logic update, I get system overload prompts so often, it's unusable. It's probably my woefully anemic computer.

yes, my friend, I think you have other fish to fry first but if processing is a problem you could bounce your final mix to a new session and then send that like described above. This new session would use minimal cpu.

well you have to send the stereo mix out to it ( like any onboard) and then bring its output back to the apollo line 5-8 and re record so you haven another round of apollo conversion. If you did this, you wouldn't be able to hear what it was doing for the print. It would better to setup a hard ward insert in the daw and use it like you would a plugin on the master fader. When you bounced, you get the same result only now you can adjust it whole listening through your monitors.
