Man that M88 is pricey for a dynamic. I'd love to try it, but damn. I picked up a 'used' one from B&H for close to half price. It was brand new as far as I could tell. It's my new favorite elec gtr mic.... it has a really smooth upper midrange push that's usually perfect, but also rounder/fuller, and less boxy than the 57's, i5's, and sm7b I usually use. I want at least one more.

I want at least one more. I saw a few rave reviews for them on guitars, but I didn't see any videos of them in use on Youtube. I'm always looking for good guitar mics. I currently use a R121 or Unidyne III on brighter amps. I'd like something to use on darker amps that I don't have to EQ. I use an I5 on snare now.
