Just because you are a character, doesn't mean you have character. "We know how you love the warmth of our compressors, spanning from authentic replicas to modern new algorithms, but have you wondered how they would taste? Coming this summer, we're bringing Slate Digital to the dinner table. We're proud to announce Slate HEAT, offering the latest in hot-sauce and pepper emulations - and we're starting with three Fabrice Gabriel-curated sauces: FG-Jalapeno, FG-Habanero, and FG-Ghost.
That's right, Slate is bringing the HEAT back to the cooking."
Apologies for going off-topic.

I am absolutely shocked every time I refresh the 'Pro Audio' page that this thread is still going. Bryce built a studio. He seems to like it. Some people think the studio looks too corporate. Others think it's fine. Regardless, it's not really meant to be a commercial studio. I don't understand how there's anything else to say, really. I don't think I'll be at a point where I'm in need of one anytime soon, but it's nice to know there's a studio with what are probably decent tracking acoustics just a little ways down the road in Round Rock. If any of y'all haven't watched it recently you should really watch the filmed recording of the Company cast album from 1969/70. They're at Columbia Studios in NYC with everyone in the live room and a fleet of u67s on the vocalists, and it does look like a high school choir room but the music they made there was incredible. I can create vibe at home. If I'm looking for somewhere to record I just want it to sound good and have someone who knows what they're doing at the board.

Ha, this makes me think of the "Daryl's House" videos, where they stop playing and start eating.

Here is a quick/Lo-fi one. The whole thing is available in a beautiful film transfer on Criterion Channel. UA Tube Console. Check. Everyone smoking like chimneys. Check. 67s on everyone. Check.

Not a fan of musicals (I performed in several growing up) but cool to see the process behind it.
