Apparently TC Electronic has a bunch of stuff on sale right now for a substantial discount.
I know I've heard people talk about the Clarity module before. What else should I be looking at? Any of the desktop reverb/delay units? The 2290 kind of interests me...

I've been interested in the 2290 and the EMT250 for a long time. But have never pulled the trigger.
Heard great things about the Clarity module.
Edit: wow they really slashed the prices. Im going to get the 250 reverb and maybe even the 2290 too.

Well I live in Aarhus where all TC Electronic stuff originates. I have never used the new hybrid 2290 but have owned and used many of the hardware version. It may be the greatest studio delay ever made.

I guess the question I would have is if the desktop control module (or the faceplate on the original hardware) provides some legitimately beneficial degree of user interaction over just the plugin? In other words, do I need/want this thing on my desk?

Is Music Group discontinuing stuff or shaking up the lineup? They just announced a partnership with Sweetwater. I assume that's why there is the sale at SW only right now.

But at the same time, I have an M10 remote for my bircasti's and once they are set, i forget it. But automating them could be fun with the controllers.

I thought there was something about TC not having the code to the original 2290 and they had to reverse engineer it, so it's probably not exactly the same. At that price if they weren't sold out now I was going to pick one up to compare to my original. 😁

So they had to map the analog circuits. they used several units to do this to take the "best" of each one for the plugin/controller. explained here:

Actually just thinking ... this would not work with LUNA ... the plugin would get bypassed in ARM mode (low latency recording mode) so you wouldn’t be able to mess with the remote as you figure out a part.
So you’d have to disable ARM .. I wonder what latency it introduces?

Wondering what @markwilliams thinks of this:I always love his delay choices, especially electric guitars !

I just see this as something I would want to play with to get some nice guitar vibes as I go in. Would want to monitor the effect for that. But yeah .. for mixing it would be no issue. Having seen a couple of reviews, some complain of small buttons .... but don't quote their finger size :-) ... others don't mention it so I guess its only an issue for some.

Luna deafaults to a 125 buffer I think, too much latency without arm ?
You could always export submix to another daw and do guitar part in it and export to lunar?
