I have bought a bunch of brainworx and Plugin Alliance stuff in the past. In fact, I love their stuff and would buy more anytime. However, I have never ever received any mails with vouchers. I wonder why. I have now contacted their support team, waiting for an answer. Meanwhile, thanks to tasteliketape for supplying the codes.

Anyone have feedback on their Purple Audio MC77 or ACME Opticom XLA-3 Plugins ? This 2 are very good. Acme is a dirt Opto. Adds lots of saturation if you want. Nice action. MC77 is a brighter and more aggressive 76. Like what I remember from the Purple hw. Their SSL E is invaluable to me. Use it a lot. BlackBox and Vertigo Vsm are both good saturators. Lindell 80 is a nice emulation of the Neve sound. And the amps, I only use the Ampegs, that are really good.

No, I don't subscribe newsletters from anybody. Who needs Spam? Sales vouchers, however, should be sent separately from marketing/sales mails, don't you think?

The sales vouchers and "marketing/sales mails" are one in the same. They're having a big leapyear sale.

But they do not do it this way. Subscribe or miss a special offer.... its marketing...and not spamming.

I still can't add plugins to the cart on the website. Customer service just responded to that they are having some problems due to "the high number of hits."

Try a different browser Opera worked for me.... They do have a bad website and a slow server.....
Slate Digital learned his lesson and hires server power for new promos.

The SPL plugins are cool but I don't really use them much.

Thanks for the feedback phantom, it helped motivate me to demo some of their plugs this morning. While I liked the MC77, I liked the Lindell and Shawdow Hills better for the 2 plugs on sale price. Trouble was I was torn between the two different Shadow Hills depending on source, so I picked one to go with the Lindell and will grab the other next time a sale comes. Thanks for your feedback!

You know, the more I think about it...the more I feel like buying more plugs just kind've replicates what I already have. The console ones I could never get behind. You’re adopting a console workflow but not all the sections work well and sound good so you can’t just use it. The SSL ones are good but the compressor sucks. It doesn’t have the SSL forward vibe and mid punch. Same with the Focusrite. Focusrite’s own emulation that they give away for free with most of their products sounds better. Metric Halo Channel Strip has that same problem too. The compressors suck. Mio is okay. The others aren’t even compressors. They behave more like a gate + moving the fader than ReaComp and are impossible to get punch from in a logical manner. The EQ has awful digititus. Variety of Sound NastyVCS compressor actually works and has punch. It’s electro-optical but somehow even works on drums.

Thanks, Mr. Holmes. Opera worked. I downloaded B15, 4000E and the Lindell 80. I look forward to checking them out tonight.

I got Oberhausen and Shadow Hills Class A. Very happy with both.
There are still many on my list but I still have my $250 voucher going to wait for one of the big sales. If I get enough of them I can quit the subscription I guess, at some point. Kind of silly how all this works.
Also got the Eventide Spring and the Arturia FX package today. Very chuffed with all of them. Having a lot of fun today.

I think people are saying you can only use 2 coupons maximum, in case anyone was hoping to use more.

Anybody compare the Ampeg bass amps to the IK versions? I am thinking about picking up either the B15 or one of the SVT's.

I am in for the VSC2 and maybe the Lindell 80 Series ... But the VSC2 is one of the first compressor plug ins I heard vs the real deal and the compression was spot on.
They missed the spot with the artifacts a bit.
The hardware sounds more open more 3D.
But for a plug in the VSC2 is yaw dropping.
EDIT.
VSC2 is still WOW as plug in... Its not as aggressive as an SSL 4K Compressor... the best is you go nuts with 10-15 db compression and it always sounds near invisible. Glues stuff together like nothing in plug in land.

Anybody compare the Ampeg bass amps to the IK versions? I am thinking about picking up either the B15 or one of the SVT's. They are significantly different. I like all of them, but they get somewhat different sounds. Hard to pick one over the other. Did the shootout today. I think I want to give a slight edge to the bx stuff though, just by a hair.

Thanks. I've got all the IK stuff and one voucher left. The bx B15 is very cool. I played with a guy for years that ran an SVT though and keep getting drawn to that, probably just familiarity...
