The band appears to be using EV RE16s. But what is Tom Jones using? An EV? It was his often his mic of choice on the show.

I don't know, but what a cool video. Man, Stephen was going nuts, eh? And Jones sounded like a long time CSNY(J?) member of the band. They should have drafted him. Fun stuff....

I didn’t fully realize it at the time being a big Neil young fan, but in his prime Stills was untouchable.

I suppose the band vocal mics could be RE11s—not sure of the timeline of all of the EV mics.

Crosby’s face is priceless. I don’t recognize the mic offhand....doesn’t matter; it’s Tom Jones!

Yes, they should have done at least one album, with Tom Jones and called it...
"Deja Vu Again-It's Not Unusual" Chris P.S. With songs like "She's a Lady" (Of the Island).

Could it possibly be a KM84? It sure looks a lot like one...

Probably a dynamic omni. There are no side ports visible.

Always better than a dynamic bi-polar. Chris

Probably a dynamic omni. There are no side ports visible. Wouldn’t it be odd to use an Omni mic on a live TV stage?

Not at all. No proximity effect and far less of a problem with pops.

As Bob O. knows too, tons of omni EV 635a's in use for 60's/70's TV shows... Chris

Here’s another clip with more close ups of the same mic. Make sure you watch to the dancing interlude!

Too small for a 224 and no side ports or shiny grille. Probably an MD211.

Probably a dynamic omni. There are no side ports visible. Look between 2:25 and 2:30. I could swear that I see side ports, which is why I was thinking a KM84.
Before that I was thinking maybe an EV omni, I forget the model number, but I could swear that I'm seeing side ports.

If does indeed appear to be an MD211. They go for $300 ish on eBay. Anyone here ever use one?

Now going up to $400! Just was watching an old Chicago clip (I'm a Man) and they were using those live in Europe. Terry Kath was still with them. Interesting how Kath/Cetera/Lamm, divided up the lead vocal. My fave era for them! Chris
