Ok nobtwiddler. Here is a link to a mix I just finished up today on a song I produced for my friend Bryan. Here's a good songwriter and even better singer. Comments and critiques on the mix, production, etc. are more than welcome! I'd be interested in hearing this run through your vitalizer. link: drive.google.com/file/d/0B1GfHUFs9Eo_OGY5QlpTVHJmcGs/view?usp=sharing

I bought the original version a few weeks after it was released. Many, many years ago. Used it hundreds of times for mixing and mastering. Still use it today. It's quite a beautiful sounding unit. If you'd like, you can send me a stereo file and I'll put it thru the Vitalizer and send it back to ya? Wow, that'd be great. Thanks a lot. I've got a mix I'm working on right now that I will send you later.

mrholmes: Yep, I do need to try out the plug in. And I'll look into the Kush Clariophonic as well.

Oh yeah, and he said first thing is to try it with no patchbay. Just a couple cables. See if it changes anything. Ok, I'll give it a shot without the patch bay and see what happens.

Thanks! That does explain a lot actually. Still want some sound samples thought. There is one video on YouTube of the Tube Vitalizer and it sounds pretty great. But pretty much just a glorified EQ, it seems like, with the exception of the stereo expander.

I'm pretty sure it's not a cable. I've tried multiple cables. I was wondering if this was some kind of common issue with using hardware inserts that I was unaware of or not. It sounds totally fine when I switch the polarity on one side.

I think the Stereo Width thingy is one of the best ones out there. Yep, I've heard a lot of great things about the stereo width. Do you know anything about some of the other features? Like the enhancement features? I really wish there were some sound samples somewhere that I could hear too.

Hey, I'm curious if anybody could give there thoughts on the SPL Vitalizer mk2-T, or any of the Vitalizers in general. I'm a little confused about what they do exactly and I can't seem to find any sound demos of the actual hardware unit.

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I have two Warm Audio eqp's. They work totally fine on mono sources, but for some reason, not long ago, I noticed that when I put them on a stereo track, it would lose a lot of bass even when the units are bypassed. What I discovered is that it is actually a phase problem, because when I pulled up a multi mono eq before it and flipped the phase on one side, things went back to normal. Any idea why this is? P.S. I only noticed this happening a couple weeks ago after I had to rearrange my patch bay, even though I double checked and everything seems to be hooked up correctly. One more question, should the signal be boosted even when the unit is bypassed? I've noticed this since I got it. I thought maybe it was because it is not true bypass and it is a tube unit. Anyway, sorry for asking so me questions! I'm pretty new to the world of outboard processing in Pro Tools. haha
