Holy crap, had it since January and it keeps coming and going, and is wrecking my voice. I don't smoke, don't us salt, keep sugar in check, same for spice . . . pretty bland actually, lots of water, tons of tea, immune booster supplements. I just can't seem to get over it!!
Anyone else?

As they say.. Eat right, exercise, don't smoke, don't do drugs.. Die anyway. Probably not the flu with the symptom of coming back over and over. Probably a common floral virus taking advantage. Spice is pretty good for people. Countries that eat predominantly spicy foods have almost no colon cancers, whereas countries that eat mostly bland foods have extremely high colon cancer rates.. Have you thought about checking your environment for things that might keep your immune system held down, like mold/mildew or other allergens?

Thanks svart. You might be on to something!! Oddly though, a month in LA and Vegas, I was the same, a couple weeks in Houston, the same. I'm going to check into having 'a common floral virus'. And I have returned to eating spicey food, that's for sure.

Our ENT tracts are full of viruses (and bacteria) that are normally benign but can cause "cold" and "flu" symptoms if allowed to proliferate. A raw throat due to nasal drainage from allergies can allow these viruses to take hold and make things worse, etc. It's just a thought. I've been suffering from chronic bronchitis and rhinitis since birth, so I know the struggles with upper respiratory problems.

Gradually progressing of allergies here. Causing a "vocal slump" of 4+ months. Was already getting better, but (don't laugh) after having some local bee honey... Seems to help me a lot, with the pollen issues.
In any event, I hope all you guys feel much better soon! Chris
