I'm getting one of those. I bet that blows the doors off most out there right now. The parallel VCA's will make this sucker smooth as silk and I love the HF lift, very very well thought out. Probably looking at a day to build.
What did it end up costing in $US??

Looks nice.
But I think the Serpent SB4001 is still by far the best 500 series SSL bus compressor. It has more features than any other(More attack times/varible release/paralell/most SC filters/most ratios/Quad VCA/THD drive) and sounds killer.
I got one barely used for 670 shipped. Would recommend.
This one for a DIY option is killer though I bet.

This arrived in two days from France to Connecticut, USA. I was hoping to start building this weekend, but things got in the way. As usual, well packaged, laid out and good paperwork. Faceplate looks great.

Sold my serpent a while back to raise money, but maybe I’ll replace it with one of these. I’ve had good experience with sound skulptor... looking forward to impressions.

I don't have anything to compare it to except an Alan Smart C2. Just briefly ran some vocal/acoustic guitar stuff through it, and seems quite nice. I'll have to spend more time with it to get to know it better.

If you are looking for someone to build, specially if you are in Canada, let me know I have a few in stock ready build and ready to go. I used one of them on my studio at the moment perfect fit after m/s eq.
