So, how many of you guys have received your licenses for the Softube Summit Grand Channel? I keep checking back and my order keeps saying "processing", LOL! Those bastards gave me a refund instead. They even refunded the legit plugin I had bought (Transient Shaper for $39). I guess I just gotta shrug it off. But do you still get to keep the Transienr Shaper? That’s a badass plug.

I really bite the bullet and ordered an Overstayer Stereo Field Effect from Front End Audio. Already on sale, really good deal with the 15% off.

They've been having non-specific problems with "Summit and Softube" so he said just "wait a week" and hope it gets better they said they're going to mail me the transient shaper code It wasn't a refund in fact, the funds were just on hold and were released from hold. Wish my bank ledger was more clear about stuff like that.

Wow. Musician's Friend called me and told me I needed to return the Softube Grand Channel! Haha tough shit, MF. I already installed it and have been using it. That's some serious BS.

I ended up getting a refund too. Should I feel lucky if they don't try to revoke my Trident license? Maybe I will call them myself. Last day for McDSP. Got the NR800, found it quite useful for mix balancing as well as noise. Debating about the EC-300. No delay sits in a mix anywhere as well as Echo Farm, but sometimes it sits too well. This one is like an Echo Farm with way more options that sits about 80% as well. Also thinking over Punish, SG Phoenix, and Phil's Cascade. Then there's the UAD thing hanging over my head.

That's weak... their mistake - they should honor it especially for licenses already activated. Be warned though they might just pull it off your ilok at some point when you sync or update or something (as iLok has done in the past) *My favorite MF story is the time I ordered a bass drum head and they folded it in half to get it to fit in the box. Not sure I've purchased anything physical since Can they legally do that? OMG! I would be so pissed! If a store sells me a radio too cheaply, they can't just come in to my house and take it back. The transaction is over, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not sure what it is exactly, but in the past 6 months or so I've become accustomed to "waiting for things."
It's like somewhere along the line the whole gear sales business took a major turn. If you don't pay attention you wouldn't notice it. But I've been buying a lot of gear for a long time. I'm sure some of the folks on here have been following even longer.

The double licenses was a pace screwup I think. Someone got a hold of em and sold em on eBay. There’s a big article on it. As far as I know, no one came out and said how it got resolved. If they take these licenses, that is gonna set a really bad precedent. Do they want a bunch of burned users to just start using cracks? Some who got their orders cancelled did just that I’m sure. I’m waiting things out before making a bigger deal. After doing extensive testing of the Summit last summer, I really thought the new Tube Tech was much better. The Summit is closer to the old Tube Tech in quality.
I’m finding the Trident quite useful. If they take that, I will make a big deal after spending hundreds on Softube products this year and not using the cracks when I could have. The $20 prices are probably a good idea considering what Waves charges and that these are old plugins. My first thought was that they were on sale so Softube could collect upgrade money for MKII versions.
Has anything like this happened before?

I just got an email from MF, "Someone's going to call you tomorrow" LOL!! Hahaha, at least you got that. After waiting since Thanksgiving, I called customer support yesterday and got some lame explanation about how it wasn't their fault that the vendor didn't send the license. On my order page it still said "processing" but nobody's called or emailed me any notification about any problems. In the end, the customer service person said that I should contact Softube about it. That was yesterday - still waiting to hear anything back, LOL. I can kind of half-expect that kind of treatment from MF/GC, but Softube? Not leaving a very good taste in my mouth to be honest. This has been the biggest hassle I've ever had participating in a Black Friday promotion. Jeez.

I’ll bet GC / MF suddenly makes good !

I picked up a 34" LG Ultrawide monitor on Cyber Monday. Here's the home ITB mixing setup with the new monitor...

Nice! What did that run you? I nabbed a pair of Akg 702 headphones after seeing some big price breaks on them online.... also scooped up one of these monitors for black friday too, I was looking at the Lg's but I couldn't find 34" Ultra-wides in my budget that weren't 1080...which in my book kinda eliminates the point when it comes to screen real estate. Luckily I found a new samsung 34" UW with 1440 resolution on sale through amazon for $399. Tis the season. Though it was a tough call, as I always consider what other gear I could've bought instead for the price

The LG was only $215, but like Bender said, only 1080. I was worried about that too, but it's still a huge improvement over my old 20" or whatever.

It was hard for me to justify the extra 100+ bones for the 1440 but I wanted to future proof myself a little bit, and I also use this screen for the occasional game, and non studio use so I figured why not. Either way Ultra wide's are SEXY, and your setup looks nice brother!!!!

The Heavyocity Punish is awesome. $49, even at Sweetwater. I think it's better than Shattered Glass Phoenix, Contemporary Color, Black Box, VSM-3, Devil Loc, and Phil's Cascade. Any of you guys have a good Sweetwater Rep? Mine made all kinds of promises to me about matching or beating prices on whatever plugins and hasn't been responding to me much at all since. Even as I got qualified for the card and am about to get an Octo Satellite. So I ended up getting things elsewhere. He shouldn't leave me hanging when he knows there's deal deadlines. When I initially started researching UAD, it took him something like a week to followup with me and that was only after I sent an email to Sweetwater customer service.

See if our own John Kennedy can do it through Realgear Gear sales and help support this place. If not Ask for Jeff Radtke tell him Eric Nelson says hi then explain your problem, Jeff can set you up with somebody new, chew your old rep a new one as well. Just calling some other rep can be problematic, because at SW your account is owned by your current guy. Undercutting the standard price on somebody and taking over the account is bad form so on a small deal. So more than likely the guy who didn’t call you back gets credit and paid on deal he blew off. Since Jeff is VP of sales he gets your call and things happen. But Check with John first I know he will do what he can and get back to you.
